Nightfall Preorder

does anyone have a difinitive date for when we will be able to preorder?

i reside in australia and i rang my local eb games store yesterday to find out if i could preorder nightfall.

the dude [with much arrogance and attitude] told me that the game wasn't even listed and that it would be released in america long before it got released in australia.
i told him it was an online game and he answered by saying that the game would only be available by digital download only.

now i know that is RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO'n'bull; but i sighed loudly down the phone and sarcastically told him thank you very much and hung up.

so now you have heard my lovely little story, lol, does anyone know when we may be able to start to preorder for nightfall?

September 12 I believe. Thats when you can get the prerelease pack.

Until A.net announces it, any other detail is bunk.

i have already preordered with a 49.99 price (+tax/shipping) and the bonus is scheduled to ship on the GW announced date of sept 15 with the game to follow on whatever the release date is

just curious, do all of you reside in america yeh?

has anyone is australia been able to preorder yet?

when i went to gamestop and preordered the actual game, they gave me a date of Oct.1'st (not saying this is the date as Gaile has said dont bealive anything unless it is straight from the words of Anet)

Pre ordered it on Friday from the local EB in Canberra

The guy was suprised that it was already listed, but... had no problems with us ordering it, and I'm hoping that we get the pre-order package

good to know and thank you for posting.. i really am hoping that the dude i was talking to from eb games was a noob and thank he didn't even bother checking the computer [he did respond almost immediately when he said that the game hadn't been listed yet]

I will b buying mine from the GW online store in the logon screen from now on... but its a shame... ANET stop and think of the lost dollars you wont be getting on the CE

ah i looked up your post before i created this one [i did a search to see if anyone had created a post like this before posting], and yeh i read your troubles.

the funny thing is, the eb games store in question i am referrencing, i preordered 2 copies of factions ce with no trouble whatsoever... i got the preorder kits and everything...

so me being the loyal person i am, thought to give them repeat business and preorder nightfall with them...

it really frustrates me

if i wasn't so desperate to get the ce version of nightfall [yah, i'm a sucker for gw... lol] i too would buy my copy online.

You will be able to preorder the CE online. Same thing happend with factions, the CE preorder came out a bit after the normal preorder.

So...does the Prerelease thing have anything to do with preordering it? And if not does anyone have an idea of the price? I'm not an expert on preordering stuff and etc...

The pre-release package will be available in Australia on the same date (fingers crossed) as elsewhere in the world.

He's wrong on both counts. Nightfall will be released in Australia on the same date as the rest of the world, exactly as it was for both Prophecies and Factions.

Hey, Alex, any official word on how the pre-realease works?

Who sets the price for the bonus pack? Will the cost be deducted from the sale price, or is it seller discretion as Gaile said in game chat?

based on what i have seen so far i think it is dealers choice.

NOTE THIS

i ordered Nightfall with bonus pack when it was 49.99.

after it was split into regular for 49.99 with no bonus
and
special starter kit with game for 54.99

i sent them an email (a week ago) asking what my status was and would they honor the deal as i purchased it.

they have not gotten back to me yet on that nor have they sent me an email stating any changes to my order.

possibly they will let the few early birds get what was ordered as most others will be paying the higher price.

sept15 i will remind them to send my prerelease bonus pack and see what shakes out.
