Well.. warrior skills, "Watch Yourself!", Bonetti's Defense; monk protection skills, but that isn't really playing assassin now

bonetti is a skill worth considering imo... gaining en and block rate...

just that usually you won't stay in mobs for long...

1. In PvE with henchies, use a longbow to start combat. Stay at range until you can select your target and get in and out. You can find longbows that require no marksmanship attribute that are 8-11 in power that work very well. The longbow is The Weapon for PvE. If you are feeling lazy, the henchies are usually capable of taking down any group of monsters except some boss groups all by themselves while you stand safely at range plinking away.

2. To learn to stay alive, Fort Aspenwood is a great place to practice. The simple idea of hang back, let someone else aggro, get in with the one two three, and get out rarely works, because there is really no place to escape to. You will learn a lot about survivability, especially when you find yourself all alone looking a siege turtle and a monk in the eye.

One trick I have found for A/W's is to carry a non or low-attrib axe or sword with a full Shield! You don't fight with it, of course. But if you get pinned it does give you a bit of extra armor while pumping your healing signet. Also good for just running along across the countryside. May help a bit against arrow fire. Plus it baffles other players who think you are wierd!

3. You don't have to be an A/W, or an A/R, or any particular build to survive. Staying alive is more of an attitude and a playstyle. It is a skill that you develop with a lot of practice.

Best skill to learn as an assassin, don't try to be a tank!

Second best skill, don't try and fight in a mob!

Third best skill, learn to be an assassin!

Fourth best skill, find a team that knows how to work with an assassin!

Idk, my favorite skills for living longer are
1. Shadow refuge (+8 regen for 4 secs)
2. WoP (+27 health each critical)
3. Critical strike (promises atleast 2 criticals)

I have a A/Mo:

Healing Breeze
Return
Mend Ailment

Cast Return on Non-smiting Monk. Then start to travel. I attack, do my combo. Once I am down to around 50% max health (regardless if I finished my combo or not), hit return icon to remove enchantment. I'm right beside monk now. Cast healing Breeze and wait. Once a full health, cast return on monk again. Go back and fight. Repeat as needed. Remember, never overstay your welcome. Get in, attack and get out. If no one attacks you, they are happy you're there. If they attack you, its their way of saying, please leave.

I don't die when I do this. Only if I get spike damaged, do I die.

I have an A/MO

Typical combo,crit eye sr etc
monk skill....LIFE SHEATH.
I negate 90-100% of spike dmg.
If you want to negate a considerable amount of dmg and still stay close to the agro use it. You increase your targets 2-3 more then any other sin will with near match on dps while staying alive.

A solid anti-caster.

Protect the backline, don't rush in at all. See a warrior heading straight for your healer/nuker/MM? Rush him instead of heading to the frontlines and getting destroyed.

im a monk and when i got the leeeeroy assassins it drives me up the wall. try to see how the NPC assassing behave when you outside Kaieng. they mostly either rush in to attak casters and monks, or stay in their own backlines.

so when i am attaked by enemy assassin and getting killed, im woundering:

"OH NO they attaking me now! wherere is our assassin? OH there we go, he was tanking the front-line enemy wariors and died, because he cant take the damage, and i was attaked so i could heal only myself!"

enchantments like way of perfection combo'd with stances like crit eye can help mitigate some of the damage you'll be getting. just be sure to get out and heal after you dish out your combo.

and customizing your weapons always works.

One way to not get yourself killed is to prove to your healer that you prevent him or her from getting hurt. Most players are too dull or distracted to notice the clever machinations that make the assassin pretty nifty, but it definitely gives priority to your survival. No matter how well you return or AoD, if your opposition has strong, non-missle spiking, you will fry without aid. Casters frequently are rescued from certain death, why not you? (Answer: Your previous assassin buddies gave you a terribly bad reputation with their liberal use of frenzy. Blame them?)

Think of how many times a Jade brotherhood has leaked into the monk's space and started harassing. Assassin's high mobility and cheap crippling makes them ideal in ensuring the tank keeps aggro instead of having the casters deal with the straggler. You can be preemptive and cripple before they get into the back line OR return back and cripple so your monk can escape, whatever method works fine. Just be sure never to assume the tanking position.
