Quickie Question:
If I start another Prophecies character will I be able to get 100% Canthan Cartographer?
I've heard rumors about the stupid little piece of land where you do the original Factions tutorial (The one with instructer NG) could lead to problems for the 100% if I start with a Prophecies character. Is this true or are there ways around that?
I hope I didn't confuse anybody but I'm pretty sure this has been brought up before. Please tell me it's a false rumor.
Thanks!

From said FAQ:
"As a result, even though some characters may never be able to access some portions of the map, they may still earn 100% explored. Unreachable zones would most likely be arenas that have been rendered inaccessible due to a game update (such as Fort Koga) or due to level limits (such as the Shing Jea Arena) but may also be training areas for characters local to the continent (such as Monastery Overlook). Again, these zones do count towards those who revealed them, but they do not make it impossible for those who cannot to obtain the grandmaster title."

Ok, I feel really small...right now...
How do they not affect the player trying to reach the 100%? That entire paragraph seems to contradict itself and I'm confused. Thanks.

bigwig
you can reveal more than 100% of your map. There is wiggle room.

To belabor the point a little more... Once you reach 100% exploration on the Canthan map, there will still be foggy areas you can uncover - approximately an additional 1-2%. This covers the arenas and training areas that Tyrian characters cant reach normally, so even without them it's possible to reach 100% exploration. :P

This made more sense than the explanation from the FAQ
