What is a good secondary for elementalist when you want to utterly kill pve?
What is a good pve combination that can hold it's own in pvp? Thanks!

Well, of course, theres the famous Echo Nuker. (E/Me with Arcane Echo and ideally Meteor Shower, allowing two meteor showers- first one ends, bam, send the next one in. Or useable with other nukes of course) But then again, there is the E/Mo which allows res ability, utility support with heal party, but that is more seen in GvG/PvP. But, i'd say the E/Me is more common. But you see a variety of elementalists with various second professions. You can change once you get to Senji's corner too, so yeah. It's all about how you wanna deal with things :]

For PvP: E/Mo you just don't see any other types of elementalists in PvP, since their use is utility, not damage.
Try somthing like:
11+1+3 Air Magic
like 8+1 or 9+1 energy storage
10 Healing Prayers
1. Ether Prodigy [Elite]
2. Lightning Orb
3. Lightning Strike
4. Blinding Flash
5. Enervating Charge
6. Draw Conditions
7. Heal Party(GvG)/Healing Breeze(mostly RA, can be TA/GvG too really)/Heal Other(Mostly useful in TA)
8. Ressurection Signet
Blind Warriors, cover it with weakness, assist on spikes, remove conditions from party members, counteract Degen with Heal party, provide support healing with Healing Breeze/Heal other.

I've played prophecies mostly as E/Mo until I had every E and Mo skill unlocked (both prophecies and factions skills 
), even had a very nice farming build which made me doubt to change secondary. Then I made a choice to go for mesmer secondary and man it rocks, I even made my farming build better, and somebody spoke about duplicating meteor shower, well I have build where I easily can drop 4 meteor shower in succession, and even the energy to do this quite a few successive cycles after one another.
But to answer your question:
