gw voicechat?

i know there is vent and ts, but i recall sometime ago hearing something about anet wanting to come out with a voicechat system for gw. that way everyone who played could have voicechat and no longer need ts or vent. i was just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about this recently. i think it would be a very good idea. thnx for any help.

yes it would be awesome but i remember reading somehere on here that it would probably put too much strain on the servers and so it probably wont happen.

yeah you're right it probably would put to much strain on the servers. but hey we can keep our fingers crossed.

I keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen...It's not hard to download/install TS/Vent and find an empty public server...why put more strain on the GW servers? Factions lags bad enough, and no it isn't me, because Prophecies is perfectly fine.

Just get Vent/TS.

They're not hard to get, and would be superior to anything Guild Wars actualy impliments anyway, if in fact they do ever impliment somthing.

They did drop hints about working on a Voice Chat system but they never explicitly said it was coming.

if they do anything at all i think it would probably have to be the clients who are the servers instead of clients joining a anet server.

so the gw.exe would have an inbuilt voip client/server

voice chat in-game for gw would be way too much strain on the servers.
way too much cost to implement. just get vent or ts
you can run your server from your own computer is youre a cheapskate xD

If you can keep it up when you need to use it, it's not being a cheapskate, it's being intelligent enough to not have to waste money..
