bad luck or something more sinister?

Lately I've been trying to farm chkkr thousand tail with my ranger (see the beastmaster farming guide somewhere on this forum, kudos to that guy) and while I can kill him fairly quickly it seems that only the first 2 runs on him from when I log on(or about every 12 hours it seems) drop anything. the first usually a purple, a blue and some materials(I've never gotten him to drop the green), and the second a white and some materials and then after that, no matter how many missions or other things I do he will drop absolutley nothing, zip,nada, zilch. I have never gotten the popup about reduced farming or anything like that and it's really getting frustrating. now granted my pet does the killing, so does that interfer with the drops somehow?

so is this simply a run of really, really bad luck or is the game thinking I'm a bot and just killing off any chance I have of getting the green?

Just bad luck I guess... the green drops are very random from bosses.

I've whacked Ghial many times over and he's never dropped his staff for me. A guildie however, has had 7+ total dropped for him, and I know I've done more runs than him.

I got Sskai's Sword over the weekend, and that took less than 10 runs.

I have a feeling that although it's random, some bosses may drop their greens more often for some than others. You may even find that you can get another green from another boss more easily.

the problem is he isn't dropping the green. I understand that it takes quite a while and is random, the problem is after the first few runs he stops dropping anything, whites, materials, collectors items, anything for about 10-12 hours, now is that simply bad luck or is a.net considering me a bot or what?

Well you also need to consider that GW is a worldwide base online game. I could also be a lot of players at that time farming him. I mean with the build out people are trying it out and sometimes getting lucky with the green. So if what you say is true, (you've done the missions to reset the farming code, did not recieve the blue box message, and done it many hours and many times) well I could sadly say that its just bad luck bud.

Question though, have you tried bringing a hench? Kill the boss with a hench rezone and ditch the hench. Try that. If not then there's nothing else I could think of, of what causing your bad luck, unless others have different opinions.

Its bad luck mate, i've had a 10% recharge time energy 5^50% amber wand of that necro boss outside of abourstone, then a purple staff of some sort, then his green. Then another purple, then nothing for another 6 runs. Stopped and did some missions then went on to farming something else that i got a purple sword, then nothing again. Its your luck and how many others are farming your boss. The boss you are talking about if i recall is like 15 seconds outside a town thus mostlikely making it an heavily farmed area....just keep doing missions and rotating spots and you will sooner or later get it

I'm having the same problem, he just drops a purple staff or wand and later on a blue or gold scroll for me then stops dropping not even a white I've done at least 20 runs and have gotten no green at all. When I farm Ghial I usually get his staff on the 4th or 3rd run, so it's bad luck x_x

You could always mix in some quests and missions in your day to day farming. That always helped for me. You know, playing the game more along the way it was intended. As a rehabillitated green farmer, just roll with the punches on the green drops I say. They come and they go, and stay gone, and eventually come back.

Try bringing a friend along on your next run, that works wonders sometimes. He gets the drop and gives it to you and you can move on.
