I just hope the e-mote candy is worth while in Nightfall CE.
Divine Aura wasn't well implemented on Canthan assassins (no particle-trails... just illuminated pin-points in hands).

the reason divine aura looks like that on assassins is that it's supposed to look like they're holding shuriken to further the "ninja" motif

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet.
Gamestop Online has posted the CE for Nightfall.
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646745
Current asking price: 69.99 USD
Please note, they are not saying anything about getting the "starter kit" with it. That seems to be reserved for buying it with the standard edition.
I hope they update that soon.

Last time another site posted the contents for the CE ahead of time it was wrong.
Of course we'll get an artbook, but the rest I'm not going to believe until its on the official GW site. The last two had special emotes as well, which everyone seems to love, why would they take that out of the Nightfall one? This one just screams made-up more than the Factions one having an extra character slot did.

there they go again
I won't deny that it could be "made up," but I'm sure Gamestop gets their info from somewhere...perhaps NCSoft sales team, which I have no doubt is fallible.
Either way, please note the "potential" inclusion of skill pins. Something that was requested here when they first introduced them.
Also as far as being different, isn't that something you would want in a collector's edition? If they were all predictably the same, why would I want to buy it?
If all it had was the particle emotes signifying divine favor, and that was with every new character I created, I wouldn't want to keep purchasing something that was a duplication. Not at 20 USD more.
I expect every CE will have some very unique item that will make it truly "collectible."

What I consider a "must have" to justify getting the CE:
Some kind of in-game bonus, be it emote or mini-pet. or something else unique. I won't buy a CE if I can't show it off "in-game." I mean, the other stuff is nice, but who will care if you have the music CD or artbook?
Ahh, but come sporting a unique mini-pet, that gets attention!

I suggest no one gets their hopes up for another mini pet. The only reason Factions got a mini pet was cause it wasn't available in full release in many areas for over a month past the intended release. I admit I like my mini kuunie too and didn't sell him. But lots of people did sell theirs which is like paying $20 more for the game; and Anet giving you a 100k bonus. I kinda hope they never give out a mini with a CE again; but if they do it should be a customized non-transferable mini. The CE bonuses should be permanently associated with your account and non-transferrable.

Well the contents of the CE are officially confirmed
http://www.guildwars.com/press/relea...2006-08-24.php
They do end the list with "and more"; so although it doesn't list any ingame item, maybe they just haven't quite decided what it will be just yet.

(Enthusiasm) “Alright” now that it is official about the CE, and the fact that Gamestop has it up on their site is something of a small joyous occasion. Unfortunately it is interesting how EB has not picked up on it yet, (given the fact they have almost become one in the same store) but in some time they will probably post it online. I hope this time the retail outlets over here actually do a pre-order on Nighfall CE this time.

And also, look at the fact that PC Gamer is giving away a mini-pet. That's @ $7 for a mini-pet, with NO extra goodies. (Of course, I'll still buy the magazine, as I would have bought the Factions CE had I known the Dragon was going to come with it...
Even though the profits would be going toward Anet; it's still practically like buying ebay gold. People should have to earn gold to buy what they want; not get it for paying a little extra. The CE bonuses should all be non-monetary; it's unfair to people that just scrape together the money for the standard edition. Anet is alway worrying about balance and making sure people don't have an advantage just from grinding for hours; well they shouldn't have an advantage for paying an extra $20 either. I love the CE bonuses; but they should be things like emotes that you can really show off; but don't give you an actual advantage over the standard edition.
