Question About Grotto

kind of an odd question, but why do a lot people with expensive armor stand afk in grotto all the time with /bowhead emote?

Because they're damn awesome.

The Grotto is the "snob" area where all those people who "think they are cool" hang out. Alot of people in fissure armor like to stand afk for hours while they are really at work because they think people will see their armor and think they are good. It's kind of pathetic.

It's a popular "hang out" area for people with expensive armor...and for people who want said expensive armor. People who know each other IRL, people who've met each other online, etc. just come here to "talk". The conversations here get on the retarded side pretty damn often, though so I try to avoid going there as much as possible.

The new hangout for REALLY cool people is my Guild Hall.

It's actually a typo. The real name is Moron's Grotto. Hence the denizens of it.

^ lol. I hate going to grotto, so many stupid conversations, last time I traveled there was 6 months ago.

I go there every once in a while to Ice Skate and to harass male warriors that want to do the Humpty Dance on female mesmers wearing FoW. It's funny how doing the warrior dance behind another male warrior will make them exit town within 5 minutes, guaranteed.

Kind of turns the tables, eh?

Marhans grotto has become a "chat room" for some people. There are a few others, like pre-searing Ascalon dist one. I've also seen a few regular chat groups in Ashford Abbey.

I suppose it's more fun than chatting in Yahoo, or Alta Vista, some of the more popular chat sites.

i was there once and this guy was bragging about having a stack of ecto so i showed him 7 he kinda shut up after that

oh no.. i'm going to get flame for this but here goes! I go to grotto alot and most be the only wammo without 15k armor or fow armor! lol i just stand there to bug the hell out of peoples and act as Grotto Security!

REALLY? grotto is an awesome people watching spot i could sit there for hours just listening to some real jerks and its halarious, has to be one of the funnest towns in the game

For the most part, people in Grotto think pretty much that. 15k or FoW armor.
Not talking abuot anyone in particular, just the average conduct you should expect in Grotto.

ermm try watching ppl in the "REAL" world...its more interesting and you have less chance of getting "square eye syndrome" + there is the added bonus that you might meet "real" girl !!
