Buy another copy from a shop!!! I have looked on play.com (other stores i am sure will be just as good) and will be buying a second prophecies account at only £17.99 for the special edition! People who sell their accounts and those who buy them REALLY annoy me.....arenanet deserves our support for providing this fantastic game world all free!!!....Honestly people come on!!

Can we report those who sell their account?...It is against the terms of use after all.

Play.com have always been very good for me. I live in the UK so couldn't vouch for their service elsewhere...however my daughter works there now, so I have a hotline if you have any problems

No offense, but why can I not sell a product that I am not using anymore? How is this any different from selling a used toaster at a garage sale. Should we just throw our old toasters away, so the toaster mfg can make more money? I don't think so.

The problem is that because of how GW's authentication works, it's very easy to 'sell' an account and the claim it was stolen. I'm not saying you'ld do this yourself, but many have done it already. Think of guildwars like that bottle in milk in your fridge, you've bought it and drank half of it, nobody in their right mind should be buying it off of you, they just don't know what they are actually going to get, and they have little to no recourse should you screw them.

how about you agreed not to resell it for starters.

secondly if it is traced as a transfer (which they can do) the new owner can try to log in and find the account permalocked with no recourse at all for violating your agreement.

When you buy a toaster you actually OWN the toaster. You can resell it as you please. When you buy software you only own a non-transferrable license to use the software. You actually own nothing tangible. Sad but true.

Well since this topic is here already maybe one of you can answer my questions?

1) Does "Play.com" ship to the United States?

2) I looked at Amazon.com and they list their games as "New and Used"... I'm certainly NOT buying a Used Copy of GW that may or may not contain a valid CD key... I thought Amazon was a respectable website?
