4 Man Arena Observer Mode

First of all, this is not thought up by me, i simply found it on the forums when some topic went off-topic, so here it goes.

Team/Random Arenas Observer Mode. The concept of this idea rests on the base original Observer mode for HA and GvG mode.

The idea of this feature has been made because i think TA/RA deserves it. Players will be able to look at Random Arena and Team Arena teams that make 10/15+ consecutive wins, this requirement of 10/15+ consecutive wins is there because otherwise you would have 100 of those battles displayed in Observer Mode and this is not really incovenient.

This will aid in the development of your own builds/strategies because you can see every 10/15+ cons. win team and these builds usually need some practice, thus you need observer mode to get that build and practice with it.

It also helps in the development of your positioning on the battlefield and the tweaking of (team) builds.

Please give me your opinion as i think people will like this idea, again its not my idea and i thus i do not take credit for it.

I think it'd be cool to look in on the match with the team with the longest streak.

It's kind-of a reward too -- you get to be on "TV".

But go even further than just observing. Maybe have the skills the player has on the bottom and a time line you can check later to see how much hp loss, energy loss, skills used etc.

Maybe not even just that, maybe information on the attributes too.

No need to OBS RA, it is a silly place

As much as I love to TA and would support anything that brings attention to TA, I don't know that I would like this all that much. Currently in TA there a couple of Gimmick builds rolling around that need not be there, with OBS I would be more afraid to see the number of teams running said gimmicks multiply.

Add a Ladder to TA, people been wanting that for years.

Add a chat announcement like HA has to the all chat when a team hits 20 wins.
"Plz Drop The Soap's Team has 20 consecutive wins in Team Arenas"
Like the who just won halls announcement.

Same goes for GvG when you win a high rated match (ie one that earns you a Champ point)
"Seriously Wheres The Monkey[WHAT] has just won a high rated Guild Battle"
Announce who wins the dailys and the MaT's as well, afterall this is "Guild Wars" give the GvG world a bit more credit.

I'm all for adding the feature for GvG, just as long as it can be turned on/off. In truth, all these features should be on/off features. Titles/HoH wins/Etc.

Your entire purpose for wanting this is to steal a build from a team that's won 75 in a row? Nice work.

If we do this, how far to we have to go with obs mode and messages on the bottom proclaiming achievements?

Next, someone is going to want a "Farming Obs Mode" where anyone who's farmed at least 10 gold weapons without zoning gets obs mode, and little messages that say "AznGold Farmer has just farmed 100k!"

My proposal for deciding which matches to observe:

If there are less than x TA matches being recorded for observer mode, pick another TA match to record (the method to pick them doesn't matter).

When one of the observed matches ends, follow the winning team and record their next match.

But the method used to pick the observable matches doesn't really matter.

Highest streak TA team could use this, but then it just serves as a way for someone to obs that build and make a counter-build to "gank" them out. There are too many bad RA teams that make it to 10 wins, so it's not worth their server space to put it on.

I dunno what you read, but thats only the second time in all my posts where I've inserted a link to another thread. And I have more than 3 total posts so thats not over half. You must have me confused with someone else you moron.

@Kanyatta - Hence the reason I'm against a TA OBS, also I figured if there were a few more PvP announcements then PvE would start to want them too. Big downside there as far as keeping all the people happy goes.

And one more paragraph just for you ninjar, (so I have 3) You need a ride somewhere and a guy says I'll take you in my bus, GREAT IDEA, but the bus has a flat tire the driver has over looked, are you just going to get on the bus and ride it out, or are you going to make the suggestion of fixing the wheel to "tweak" the great idea? You figure that one out and you will know why I don't just type /signed "submit".

I guess I don't see the harm in adding "ZOMG WTF's team has just won 50 straight battles in Team Arenas" or "Stealing Society [StS] has just won a high-rated GvG match!" messages, as long as they add a tool to toggle them, along with all the "Teh Chuk Norrizz has achieved Uber-Lightbringer, KoaBD shines on him"
