Ok... what do you have to do EVERYTIME you run guild wars?
You have to type your password, and you cant choose to "save your password", or "remember you"...
And what impresses me the most is that when you want to switch characters, you have to log out and type your password again.
Add "save your password" option?
Add "remember me" option?
Add "character selection" option?

its a minor thing, but it would save a few hours of my life at the end of the year

Heightened state of mind.

This has been addressed already, they will not allow password saving because it allows hackers to switch characters and steal all of your characters loot, and there already is a alternate way around it if you have to have it.

Search for opportunities before you come and bother us about stable functions.

If you want to save a few seconds (and possibly compromise the password security in the process), you can also use the gw.exe switch by modifying the shortcut to look something like this:

"...\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -password=blablabla

you can have auto login as well as copy/paste to save time.

on a secure pc where strangers wont get to it do the following for auto login

right click the desktop shotrcut
click properties
go to the existing target line and add the following

a space followed by

-password=xxxxxxxxxx(xxxxxbeing your password)

apply and exit

copy /paste is done by mouse highliting the password in notepad or wherever and keyboarding ctrl c for copy and ctrl v for paste

I don't think Copy/Paste saves time, but that's a neato trick.

It's not a bad idea, but I think a safer one would be to add a couple ingame options to switch to another character or campaign instead of having the game log you completely out.

If the switching campaigns isn't all that safe, then just put the ingame option to switch between characters.

As Loviatar said, this has actually already been dealt with, just not obviously. In fact, if you look in this thread, you can find this and many other neat tricks you can do with your command line. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=94814

It works great when switching characters too. Click log out and it will sign you right back in. No fuss no muss.
