I think you need to be a drinker to really enjoy the grind.. soon as your sober you realise how lame it is- but some reason you go back.. just like pot

Be cool to have a warning label on these games.. players already know this stuff but for the new guys

something like this game may increase the probability the word goblin gets included into your everyday lingo

Well, the most I've ever played is 7 hours straight lol..I can't really see how it can be that* addicting.

The 27 hours was how long he was seen to not eat or drink anything. There's no telling how long he'd been starving himself beforehand, and since the story mentioned he'd lost his job because of the addiction to WoW it could have been a "creative suicide," kind of like someone with a heart condition choosing to die during sex

Anyway, I had this wonderful post with references to socially acceptable addictions and lawsuits and everything... and of course it's been deleted

Warning: This game may cause you to enjoy life more. It'll cause you to concentrate more on having fun then your job, spouse, children etc. Side effect include reduced stress, not focusing on the little things, and use of the words Noob, pwn, l33t etc more.

Games may be addicting but so does everything thats fun. A study showed that internet surfers were actually healthier then non-surfers because of reduced stress. However ya it also showed that they send less time with their children and spouse.

If you ask me getting addicted to something is the meaning of life because you concentrate more on having fun then stupid little things that don't matter.

So what did that study conclude about GW ragequitters and forum flamers?

I found my earlier post: it's been moved to a more serious break-off thread which also contains Inde's comment that this was supposed to be a more humorous than serious one. Sorry if I was stepping on anyone's funny bone

Where did that number come from? Her ass?

EDIT: of course, I made a typo in the title. Must be Guild Wars ruining my brain.

Warning: This warning is here to absolve yourself of blame in the blame-less society. If you need a release from the pressuring grind of every day, middle class life, it's NOT YOUR FAULT. Feel free to get addicted, then pay your lawyer, doctor or psychiatrist lots of money in later years to attempt to fix you.
