It's been a long time since the Sorrow's Furnace update, and I must say that that was one of my favourite updates. I was allowed to explore new areas of the continent, and it was fun.
Instead of having special weekend events, I'd like to see another update like Sorrow's Furnace added to the land of Tyria (or Cantha, for that matter). I'm sure there are lots of explorers out there who enjoy exploring new areas of the world, and an expansion like Sorrow's Furnace would not go unappreciated.
Some possible areas might be:
-Far Northern Kryta: There is a huge amount of unused space there, including a big lake/ocean. Incorporating that would be very neat.
-Far Southern Maguuma Jungles: Almost the entire coastline is unused. Great potential for a few new areas to explore.
-Peninsula/Islands East of Crystal Desert: Another huge, unused area. Again, great potential for some neat areas to explore.
-Either of the rivers that run inland to Cantha: Starting to see a trend? I'd like to see more coastal areas become explorable in this already fantastic game.
Just throwing this out there to see what everyone thinks...

I'd love that. I want to see Orr, but that actually might be a expansion so I dunno. I'd love to see northern kryta and more areas of the crystal desert, and maybe even father north into the charr lands (LVL 28 CHARR WARRIORS!!) And yes, they could probably do a sorrows furnace for Cantha. If I read correctly, some Dredge from SF ran away and got to Cantha by digging a hole or something. Maybe they could add in a entrance to that hole, to do Cantha SF Quests and farming o.O

I think we should have another way off the shiverpeaks, other than the one from deldrimor bowl>griffins mouth>Scoundrels rise. I was thinking a way off anvil rock, leading to the far north kryta area. This would get progressively harder as you go through the areas and at the end theres a place where greens drop. Anet would make it hard as hell to get to and put a outpost at the end for people who make it there. Of course it would be important to put monsters that slow you down significantly or find a way to stop runners. Maybe put some monsters like towers (similar to ether seals in the ring of fire missions), in a tunnel things so that runners have no other choice than to kill them to continue. These would of course require more than just one or 2 people to kill. Maybe give them natural health regen. +5 should do it nicely.

Tyria will not be getting any updates in relation to expansions, and if there are any, you will most likely have to pay for it. They should do one for Cantha though, I hope they aren't justifying the weekend events as cause not to, that would ruin it...

Ok, the Crystal desert is part of Elona (Nightfall!!!)
we will undoubtedly see more of the charr in future chapters (i'd rather play as a charr personally) and even as a Tengu! (Make it so ANet!)
And I also reckon Orr will be another chapter, however wasn't Orr sank to the seabed? maybe underwater Orr?

I wouldnt mind paying for a chapter that reused most of the Krytan map, but had its story take place after chapter 1, after the Titans realese.
I liked the way Pre-Seering Ascalon & Old Ascalon was done, it gave a sense of familarity -yet new. There are to many questions that still remain in Kryta, Cantha seems completed and done with. But Kryta & Ascalon isnt. Having another Ascalon chapter is in my opinion needed.
I envision a Ascalon king, redeemes the Heroes for following the Prince (after helping him against the Titans): Abeerdem ask them to defend Ascalon and dive deeper into Charr Lands.
The remenants of Wizards Folly and Baradin Estat, and the collapsed Catacombs, Villany of Verata, Gwen, The Vengefull Kentaurs
In Kryta, We have the Princess and the renewal of Lions Arch -the routing of the Few Mursats & zealos White Mantles.
Ascalon Settlement (could be made an outpost)
etc etc

If you bridged it, as they did with pre-sear to seared Ascalon, then you would in effect lose all the content from Prophecies to be replaced with content for Prophecies Revisited...

and how would that work? taking into account compatibility issues with what is already there? |
(since you can visit Frost Gate & then visit Nolani academi & "talk" to Rurik , i dont see to much problems in some Glint assisted time travel)
Since they can reuse many areas without needing to add much more, they can also expand some of the unexplored zones with new content
For gaming system, its a whole other map , with similarities for familarity.
Blizz Master
I'd rather not have to lose any explorable areas to gain new ones. They should be connectable visually on the map. Time travel is a neat idea, however.
But I can definitely see the whole "Revenge of Ascalon" idea working out:
After dealing with the Titans, King Adelbern musters up the remainder of the Ascalonian army and calls for heroes (the players, obviously) to help him purge the Charr from Northern Ascalon (eventually leading to an attack at the Charr's main base/home/camp). I think having it work like SF (a few secondary quests, then a Final Assult type quest) would be the best way of making this happen.
