henchmen stealing loot wtf?

Yesterday i was gathering a group in Augury to go Queen Farming..
Well one said just take henchmen and go and the other guy said no because they might be staling our loot...
then i was just thinking wtf? henchmens dont get items only gold right?

Nope, loot is divided among all party members, you just don't see the items the henchies get - I swear they get all the black dyes

Gold that drops is visible. When you pick it up it gets divided equally between however members are in your party - whether theyre human or hench.

If its an item that gets dropped, it may be allocated to the hench or to human players in the team. If its allocated to the hench, then it all happens behind the scenes and you dont see it drop but the hench gets it automatically.

You only see it if its allocated to a human member in the team.

So...the moral is if you are farming, try not to take hench. Who knows - that queen may drop the staff 5 times in a row, but each time your hench may get it and not you. There is no special formula to it either so you could do it 50 times and not get anything.

So all the hench could buy like FoW armor now..:P

Not quite, henchmen aren't ascended so they can't enter FoW to see the Forgemaster.


If you're farming for a specific green item then always try solo-ing. If you can't solo then take guildies or friends who are willing to give you the item if they get it. However, if you don't have guildies or friends and need to then farming with henchies isn't all that bad (remember the lesser the better). It'll be like farming in a pug and others getting the green drop and refusing to give it to you because they want to make money from selling it.

Also, drops are based on some sort of calculation and sooner or later it will drop for you even with a hench team. I had a tough time getting Sunreach's Shield to drop when I duo-ed him with a guildie, so we took a team of henchies. With more firepower, we could get to him quicker and kill him faster. This increased the amount of times we could farm him in a given period. After 14 runs with henchies, the shield did drop for guildie and then for myself. 14 runs of no drop with henchies isn't that bad comparing with much more runs as the two man party with no drops.

I'm sure the hechies get all the good gold and green loot when I take them with me.

The don't steal anything, then just get a equal share of the loot.

Don't let people tell you otherwise.

My only wish is that my storage was as big as my hench buddies. They have been out farming with me since the release of prophecies and damn it if everytime I go out farming or questing they don't get a bucketload of stuff from all my strategy and research into gameplay. And you know not one of them is even willing to engage in a trade with me for that green or gold drop they got. Seriously they won't even give me a look at their stuff. Sometimes I think they don't appreciate me at all.

If henchmens wouldn't take their share, everyone would play with henchmens only. At least I would.
