You absolutely can!

You can hit the Print Screen key while you mouse-over the item, so that the item stats are displayed. This will put a screenshot in the clipboard, and also save a bitmap image to your Guild Wars/Screen Shots directory.

You can then use Paintbrush or something to edit/crop the image and save it as a JPEG or something.

Hitting "printscreen" while you have the item's information shown will take a picture of your screen. Go to your Guild Wars folder and find the "Screens" folder within it. It will have all the screenshots you've taken in it. Open your screen of choice up in MS paint and use the cropping tool to isolate the item's information.

Make sure you aren't hitting shift + printscreen when you take screenshots, as that will clear your HUD, just printscreen will do. Also, when you take the screenshot, it should give the a message something like "screenshot saved as C:/Program Files/Guild Wars/Screens/screen1.bmp

Hmm, that could be a bug, then. Or maybe some kind of incompatibility with your graphics card.

Print Screen will present different results depending on the keys used.

Print Screen
Alt-Print Screen
Shift-Print Screen
Ctrl-Print Screen

Each of these will produce a different image.
