Are Alliance battles and quests the only way to gain faction points?

And whats the quickest way you've found to earn points?

Yes, but you can also buy some faction, but its expensive. Quests and AB are the way to go

AB battles are the faster way, but some say going repeatable quests are as well.

ABs and Kurzick/Luxon quests/missions are the only way to get Faction points. Some quests are repeatable so you can do them over and over and over again. It gets very repetitive and very boring though.

The fastest way I found to earn points was by actively playing in Fort Aspenwood. One night on the Luxon side got me enough points for afew Luxon 1.5K armour, a few nights on the Kurzick side and I have 15K Kurzick armour. After getting all the armour I wanted, I realised that I haven't Befriended either side, so a couple nights of playing on each side 10K per side was easy to get.

Leechers join to get points for doing nothing, but if you don't help the team then you may lose and go away with very little. Rinse and repeat will just drag things out longer. Whereas actually playing and winning is 650 points, plus more points for kills and achieving a mission objective. If you get defeated, then the longer you have lasted the more points. You'll rack up the points much more faster by playing than AFKing.

Oooh. Do you mean this as in you pay someone x amount of gold, and they join your guild, transfer their 10k faction into your alliance, then leave... Or is there actually an NPC somewhere that you can buy faction from?

Regarding the OP, I'd say ABs are the quickest way to earn faction.

No, the method of paying for donations only gives faction to the guild, not to the individual person. The method of purchasing faction is accomplished by buying it from a priest of that faction for an insane amount of gold. It has been a while since I've seen this, and nobody does it because it's so expensive, but I think it's like 50g for 10 faction points.

And the easiest / quickest way to get Kurzick faction is the run outside Lutgardis. I was able to accumulate my 10k in about an hour, and that was with more time than necessary spent in town.

Faction Farming outside Lutgardis or doing alliance battles is really the way to go.

Sorry for being a nub but where is Lutgardis?
