Hey Arena net since the reduce damage nerf/change I came accros this beauty

please add these types of shields in game maybe new greens perhaps or even chapter 3 greens whatever just please put these in!

some suggestions:

20% longer stances

10% less duration of hexes
10% less duration of conditions

33% less duration of bleeding
25% less duration of cripple
20% less duration of deep wound

5 energy (without a chance for a second mod!)

5 additional armor (energy -5)



...all as secondary mods, examples:

+30 always -10% hex time

+45 in stance +20% longer stances

+60 when hexed +5 armor (energy -5)

Those are great ideas. I really think the hexes and conditions values should be something like a variable like % mods on staffs of 10-20% though. Other than that, I'm all for it. ALL FOR IT. /signed...x10^100.

Also, what about shield mods? I know this has been posted on some other thread (but it's long since been burried). Just like mods on weapons so you can salvage em.

Examples of Prefix Mods:
Spiny - %10 Chance of cuasing bleeding on attacking target withing melee range for 5 seconds.
Blinding - %5 Chance of blinding attacking target for 3 seconds.

Examples of Suffix Mods:
Fire, Cold, Lightning, Earth, or Shadow Resistance - +8AL vs F, C, L, E, or S Attacks

i agree- the only shield i currently like is the 20% -5 dmg one...

it seems every single shield has a really lame way of reducing damage ever so slightly.

Reducing hex times & conditions would be very 'shieldy' I honestly have never made a shield character (hammer for me!)

although now that there are two classes allowing shield usage, Im hoping that this thread is already taken care of by the devs....

yes... bring me a -hp shield... i want to farm fow lol

Yes more shield options would be nice.

Also I had this weird idea for awhile. I want shields that when you apply a dye a a random pattern will appear. Slap on some red dye and get a shield with a red griffon... or whatever.

i think since they made the shields vs phy mayb add some with def vs elemental, and i like the 10% less hex time idea, and maybe even + def vs smite

I've had a gold shield with +10al vs lightning attacks since long before the dmg reduction change. So I'm sure they already have the elemental mods. But maybe adding a -dmg vs elemental might be good since then you could have one for phys and one for all elem and just switch when you need to.

I think they mean actual mods, like weapon mods, for shields, not just inherent effects.

If you want a copy of this shield you can find the collector outside Frontier gate guys name is Fytch.

I would defintly be wanting a 16armor shield with +5 energy with +30 hp

Other shields would be nice to defintly need more varitey with shields now.

Why more variety? Offhands don't have a lot of variety either, but you don't see casters asking for more mods on their offhands :/

both of those abilities all the time are pretty powerful, especially considering the fact that the damage reduction doesn't specify whether it's for physical damage only or not.
