Can Tyrians do shing jea quests?

I have a level five necromancer and Id like to do some shing jea quests for quick levels. Are the quests open to Tyrians?

The missions are (but you get no reward). The quests are not.

If you just want to lvl up a new char quick, you can't beat Factions. You can easily get to lvl 12 in 90 minutes or less. Might be worth remaking your lvl 5 as a Factions char if you just want to get lvled faster. But you will then lose the ability to do all the Tyrian skill quests so that's the tradeoff.

Once you get your Tyrian char. to Lion's Arch go over to Cantha and do all the fed-ex quests. The biggest danger is you'll die from boredom, but my Tyrian ranger went from lvl 14 to lvl 20 in just a few hours of non-hurried play.

(Fed-ex quests are all the "take this there, talk to him, take this back" quests and there's a bunch of them, most giving 3k exp.)

You cannot enter any Zen Daijun missions or Ministers Cho's estate. Otherwise you can.

That made no sense.

That's because he's speaking from outdated info. It WAS impossible to enter the Shing Jea missions, but a patch fixed that so Tyrian characters could do the missions but will get no experience points from it.

Tyrian characters still can not do Shing Jea _quests_.

However, a Tyrian character is free to do any quests or missions on the mainland of Cantha, where also rewards are higher.

You can do the one quest to kill the lagoon monster - the one with someone telling some kids a story - I did that one with a propecies char (while I was there to get naga pelts).

Yup. There is one "quest" Tyrian char's can do on the island. It's in the villiage north of Zen Daijun.. and you hafta sit and wait for the story teller to finish his lagoon monster story to the children to activate it.
