wheres my access key or how do i get one??

It's in the CD-Box. There should be a little platic card with it on. Good luck

if this is the original GW and not factions check for a silver scratch off in your cd case

nothing ive raided the case 5 times, checked every page in the booklets..

its the Special Edition original guild wars.....so special i didnt even get a bloody code :

You said you bought it from the "SHOP". What is that ? Did you buy it off EBay ? What store was it ? Was it in a sealed package ? If you bought it off EBay, you should contact the seller. But, you shouldn't buy it from EBay or any other "used" source.

it should be somewhere in the CD case, it's been a while but, I think it might be behind one of the CD mounts[or whatever the CDs are put on in the case]. I remember it being on the inside I think<.<




oh, I got the normal one, not the collectors or whatever, could it be on the inside of the box itself? I've gotten games with the key in odd places... keep looking around, take the box apart if you have to...

I've gotten a key on the CD itself.
There might be a scratch off on the inside of the CD case, the normal GW had it on the back of the top case part[had a nice bone dragon behind it(^-^)]

Simple solution!

If you brought it from a shop, like you stated, then just return it and get a replacement. Then check in the store before you leave to see if there's one in the new copy.

In the CD case, there's a skinny sheet of paper with a long bar. Scratch the bar off with a coin to reveal the acess key.

I bought the collector's edition one about 2 weeks ago. Inside the CD Case were the manual, a few ads, a PlayNC paper, and then a white packet with BIG LETTERS on it saying "This is your cd-key, don't give it to anyone, etc. etc." I ripped along the perferated edges, and my key was typed neatly inside.

I can post pictures if it would help.

Did you see that Bounty_Bam said he had the Original Prophecies Collector's Edition ... not the Faction Collector's Edition?

The key-code is in different locations, depending on the game you purchased.
  • The American version had these contents - the game key is a silver scratch-off which is located inside the CD Jewel Case.
  • The European version had these contents - the game key is a silver scratch-off which is located on the outside of the paper CD Card Wallet.
(I think you probably have the GW-EU-UK-BX3 edition, since that is the most common version you find from online resellers.)

The Prophecies Collector's Edition has been discontinued for quite awhile, so I have to assume you did not purchase this game from a licensed retailer. It will be very difficult for you to recoup your funds from a 3rd party vendor if you can not find the game key. Good luck!

the art book has book 2 which indicates chapter 2 as well
