I had read a few guides about an Invinci-Monk and since I am making one I was working on getting the stuff I need. I made my monk Tyrian because of the -50 cesta I'll need and the Long Sword with crystalline skin in Pre-Searing.

Now I see the stats on the blade and wonder why I needed it? Is it reccomended because of looks, because of somthing I'm not experienced enough to see, or somthing that is now outdated?

Thanks for your help guys!!

It doesn't matter what kind of sword you use. It doesn't even have to be a sword. Just any one handed weapon with a enchant mod on it thats 15% or more.

Which guide were you reading? The weapon that is most often recommended now is the Totem Axe.

FFS 20% enchant > Totem Axe - I prefer the 10% hsr than +5 energy

I prefer the Fiery Flame Spitter for 55 farming. It's available from a collector in Ascalon after the Searing, somewhere in Pockmark Flats. The Totem Axe is cheaper as a starting weapon, as it's roughly 5k, and a perfect 20% Enchanting axe thingy is a lot Also, you can replace the Fiery mod on the Flame Spitter with an Icy mod, if you ever happen to party with a Necro using Spinal Shivers (might happen, I guess...), whereas the Totem Axe is stuck with a crappy Sundering mod.

And Icy Flame Spitter of Enchanting sounds cool.

The way I see it is that you can't always rely on FFS's skill recharge mod, especially at a 10% chance... I prefer the Totem Axe for the +5 energy, even though I don't always need it, atleast it's always there.

Besides, paying for the 20% enchanting mod isn't worth the skill recharge mod, in my opinion.
