Price in this game is not influenced by looks but by rarity. Some people will get really rich of this.

Actually no one should buy one. Not till release anyway. Today Gaile Grey was on and she stated that after the Preview Weekend the Gray Giant will disappear. Once Nightfall is released you will have to complete the quest again to obtain it for good.

Moral of the story: Don't get scammed.

Ooooohhhhh, I was trying to work out the scam, but know I get it (i think).

You meant don't buy one during preview weekend because you will loose it and not be able to re-acquire it come release because you dont have the key on your account.

The whole point of a birthday present is that it's meant for the person you give it to. What would you think if you give your girlfriend / wife / mother / whoever ... a present, and she SELLS it?

Or maybe someone needed gold for armour more than a minipet they may not like that they got for havng a character thats a year old?

Then again the mini-pet will only be around in elona and as storages in elona are disabled the mini pets can only be bought with money aquired on pve preview event chars.
And as we know all items(including money) will be wiped after the event, so feel free to buy the mini pet i would say, as it is as lasting as the gold you bought it with.

There may not be too many year old newbs running around loose, but I've seen and played with planety of noobs that have been here since beta. Given the choice, I'll take the newbie who bought a pet because they though it was cute.

Pets, title, fame; whatever. None of these define skill.

On-Topic: About the mission to retrieve your giant. Does it mean the pet will be an additional reward to players who buy PCGamer now? Or is it going to be a standard reward for anyone?

I meant that every magazine that's publishing a minipet code in the world(which is America, Canada, Europe) is giving Grey Giants. So everyone gets Grey Giants and no one has to whine "but his is prettier than mine?!".

Ok, my understanding of this is that the key will give a quest of which the pet is a reward. My question is whether the quest will be available in the game itself, because Australia is quite far behind magazine wise. If we are lucky we might get it before the release of the actual game. It would be nice to know, in the mean time, whether we will be able to get the quest and the pet then, or whether it is only a beta weekend thing.
