Hi guys- with the new character slots I can finally make a ranger!!!

Ive been playing since the beginning, so hopefully this wont put me too high on the nooblist...

So, Im running around on these 'double your greed' weekends and I ran across some nice max bows... problem is the mods are for while opponent is hexed and while im enchanted....

So my question is- what kinds of rangers use hexes? My first thought would have been mesmer...

What kind of Lesser Known hex skills are used with ranger builds? Any thoughts on what kind of Class i should secondary as?

I wont make this ranger til i get another slot from the NF presale and access to the new chapter... but this will give me something to research and obsess over until next month.

Thanks in advance for all of your insight!! Like I said- Ive never played a ranger (secondary rangers with WS or BM only- never a marksman)

I for some reason think that a R/E with lightning hex is what im after- but Id like advice from someone with experience mixing marksman with other classes!

Well there is a R/E build with Mark of Rodgort (use a glyph of lesser energy before) but erm.. I can't say that's my favourite build. Bows vs hex are kinda useless IMO. The best mod for rangers remains 15^50 (alternatively 15 while in stance may be nice with Me stances).

15% Enchanted Bows work rather well for Barrage/JI or Ranger spiking with OoP. But hex bows are on the low scale of the economy because, well, they're not that useful.

Fragility or Phantom Pain are good skills for your Hex bow.

Necros also have good ones, like life siphon, Barbs, Mark of Pain, etc.

If you are going for R/E, get Glimmering Mark (e).
