Installing Factions

Well I alread have prophecies installed and I just bought factions. Do I need to use the CD's that came with the game, or do I just use "add access key"?

Install the CDs, then add the key.
If you just add the key, ANet will start streaming Factions to your system.
Given that the game needs 2 CDs, I'd say it'll be past the 1GB mark

Best thing to do is to leave gw on the login screen and go to bed. It'll download through the night.

Yanman, why waste bandwidth when he has the CDs there?
On top of that, if he has a strict usage allowance (What ISP doesn't?) he's screwed.

Really depends on how long you've had Guild Wars. I didn't use the CDs when I installed Factions, and I had very very little to down load; I suppose I got an awful lot of stuff during the past preview events and so forth. OK, so I'd have had even less to download if I had used the disks, but maybe I'm just lazy :P

just as we will all have Nightfall on our drives just waiting for a retail key to activate what is already there

The only reason you would need the FActions keys is if you didnt have prophecies. Then you would have to install the keys to get GW on your computer. Otherwise all you need is the access key.
