Increase In Rare item drops~ ? whats going on?

**First of all I apologize if there's a thread already made to discuss this.

But anyways, in my observation .... these rare items are no longer *that* rare now. What's happening in the drops?

Everyone chest running now? people decided selling their high ends now ~ before price drops further??

Ok I saw this guy selling a 14^50 gold r10 dwarven axe for only like 100k+40 ectos in Kaineng the other day. People also getting serpents, sephis, crystallines more often... Early on in my days as a gw gamer... I didn't even know items this expensive exists *WTS~ r11 dwarven axe 15^50 ~~ c/o 500 ectos!!!* Nowadays everyone seems to have em~~

ANet has done this as a special promotional weekend. It is also making incredibly expenisve items prices drop to try to control the ecnomy. The rare skins are dropping more even though the mods on them seem not to be too good. Its just an attempt by ANet to get ahold of the ecnomy.
