Deleted Bonus Mini-Pet Dragon

Interesting quote from Hutton on GWO (why the heck did he post this in 2 places?)
I won't waste my time dissecting that...

ArenaNet has stated several times that they do not have the ability to spawn items, so saying that Customer Service should just give him a new one is out of the question.
Secondly, the box doesn't list the mini-pet as a feature you recieve when you bought it because it was not origionally part of the package. It was added later as a way of thanking people who ordered the CE for waiting through the delay. It was more of a gift for the wait as opposed to just for buying the game.
Since it was added later, there is no information in or on the packaging. It is still not even listed on gamestop.com or amazon.com as being part of the CE package. The only announcement about the dragon was on the website, and in that very same announcement, they said that it was one per account. So if you knew about the minipet, you should have known that you would only have recieved one and that deleting it means that it is gone.
Just like if you bought something at the store, and accidently threw away a piece that you needed or wanted, it is your fault not the company's.

As somebody else stated, he bought a game which worked *exactly* as it should.

1 - It's been stated several times that there are sufficient warnings, including an ingame warning reference the bonus items.
2 - As stated the items and characters in game are treated as IP, the box, manual, cd etc is your physical property, however what you are paying for is 'access'. You still have access therefore Anet have not fallen down on the job
3 - You seemed very upset in your mails that the Anet customer support person explained to you how to get a refund, this was in response to your previous mail where you explained that you expect your purchase to be refunded, ergo they were trying to help you even there.
4 - IP rights V Consumer laws. I'm sure consumer laws are very stringent however IP rights are not governed by consumer law, therefore your arguement that consumer laws trump IP laws/rights is not valid.
I could and would go on, but it's quarter to one and I need more coffee.

this thread inspires me to start a class-action suit against the us dept of treasury.
this is my story:
i went to the grocery store and bought some coffee creamer. i gave them $3 and after i bought it, they refused to give me my $3 back! i noticed that nowhere on the dollar bill does it say that after you spend it, you lose it forever. i tell ya what, the us dept of treasury is going down! are you with me?

The dragon was not originally part of the CE edition. It was added on at a later date that is why there are no directions in the box. It is the same answer you will get from Anet if someone scams you out of your money or items, if a game glitch causes you to lose something or a hacker gets on your account and steals everything. Anet will not replace anything. The extra $20 you spent was for all of the stuff in the box not the dragon.

I just finished writing my 24.000 pages essay on "how anet didn't warn me 20 times about deleting my wammo". Took me 5 years of hard work but it was well worth the effort.

Um well OP get a life and move on to better things in life to fight over than just a mini dragon.
Like they say shit happens so get over it especially when you/gf should have known better before deleting the character common-sense FTW.

The mini dragon is a gift.. not something you bought...
...A GIFT!
I wouldn't sue my grocery store because my GF lost the
gift they gave me when I bought potatoes.

Okay kiddies, time to kill the thread.
