Dervish and Paragon information as they were at the PVP event. Note that these are almost certainly going to be tweaked substantially before the game release...

This may not be entirely accurate as I didn't check all the armors; just went with the one I thought looked cool.

Dervish:
max armor: 70
max scythe dmg: 9-41

Paragon:
max armor: 80
max spear dmg: 14-27

*as mentioned earlier; don't be surprised if these change

Also...

Paragon Energy regen = 2 pips
Dervish Energy regen = 4 pips

There's your last question answered. The regen may change by release though. Heck, everything could change by release.

Paragon's weapon must be changed. It does with 1 point less dmg than the ranger - he throws faster and his weapon is one handed. Not to mention some of his skills got +36 dmg, and the ranger got 2 or 3 max of those.

As many people mentioned the Dervish is a lot IMBA with some skills.

But the skills require adrenaline to power up..

and what says that rangers HAVE to do more damage than a paragon? o_O

Also, the range difference is far from insignificant. Given that particular sacrifice, it makes perfect sense for a Paragon to do more damage with his spear than a ranger would with a bow.

Well never use a short bow then. IMO the Paragon's shield/spear combo is better than any shortrange bow because you get 16 armor if you have the Paragon attributes, and the only sacrifice is the range.

Given the heavy use of the Pack Hunter premad ein the PvP preview, you can basically rule out Paragons as the only spearwielders when Nightfall comes around.

Haha easy, easy. I needed to read it twice, too.

@Arcador, look at the dervishes scythe. More dmg than a hammer.. check. Can hit up to 3 adjacent foes. Check. Looks alot better than hammer, check. :P
