i think a fun idea would be to have an enlarged monster with a large amount of health that 24 player could all fight at once.
it could just be a giant form of a regular monster or it could be new.you could make it available from the battle islands.
thats my idea feel free to add any of your own.

Still boss sounds cool, problem is people always find easy ways to do things, which is great in all, but kind of takes the challenge away, not to mention if you don't have a character for like the 5 man oro farm you are kind of left out.

Unless that thing has chiliblains, permanent anti-interrupt, immunity to knockdown, immunity to blind, infinite energy, selfheal monster skill, aoe attacks, teleportation and/or flight, then no.

problem is it would probably not only be able to kill you in one it, have semi party wipes, minion spawns, and all other random weird stuff.
Making the fact if you don't have a spirit spam rit to make sure the team doesn't lose more than like 10% max health or whatever, you would be so screwed because it would just unleash ungodly powers. Somethign tells me a touch rangers spam groun with 1 rit would work >_>

Hence why I suggested AoE (shelter goes down rather fast) and teleport/flying (to eat rit ).
It would also slaughter touchies with PBAoE, or have some AoE KD around it.
It's hard to design a boss that can stand up to teams, which is why it's better there isn't some 'uber boss' because enemies are either too easy or too hard.

How about a gigantic multi-headed hydra where each head is like a character with own health, energy, profession, etc. ? That would be make interrupting a bit harder because you have to interrupt several targets. Once all heads are dead, then the boss dies.
