Factions players in Ascalon Arena

I've had an issue lately with the presence of Factions only skills/players in the Ascalon Arena. It really puts people like me at an unfair disadvantage when other players bring in skills that I don't have any access to.

This is different than bringing Droks armor or an elite into the arena. At least all prophecies players have "access" to that stuff. Whether they actually use it or not is their choice. But I haven't bought factions yet, as I'm sure other people haven't, and I don't believe I should have to buy an add-on to the game to be able to compete in the low level arena of prophecies.

My idea would be that if a player is created in factions OR travels to a factions city, they should no longer be allowed into the Ascalon Arena. That would give us low levels a better chance at fighting on level ground.

Thoughts?

um....if a player has factions and prophecies they should have access to all areas.

I pity those players who waste huge amount of time to gain so little faction with Factions skills. Are they really that bad in random and team arenas.

How is it different? They are still bringing skills and armour that you don't have yet. Why does it matter if it's Factions armour/skills or Prophecies armour/skills? Is it just because you don't have Factions? You're still at an "unfair disadvantage", as you put it, if they are Prophecies only players with max armour and later game skills.

I by no means condone people with max armour/later game skills farming faction in the low level arenas, but I don't see why you only have a problem with Factions players. If you want to see them prevented from entering the arenas, then so should the people getting run to Droknar's. You can't discriminate against one set of players just because you don't own Factions.

People who own Prophecies have the "ability" to get Droks armor and later game skills if they wish. People who don't own factions don't have the chance to get that stuff.

If taking out Factions players means taking out Droks armors, then so be it. Whatever it takes to get a level playing field in the low level arena.

Well if you want to go that far, why don't we just stop people with Factions being able to compete in GvG, Team Arenas etc, against people who only have Prophecies and can't get Factions skills? It's not about the skills, it's about them having max armour in a low level arena, because at that level there are not enough attribute points to make the skills that effective anyway. I'm sure if you excercised your "ability" to get Drok's armour and returned to the low level arena, you'd find the playing field much more even regardless if you were up against players with Factions skills or not.
