Well I always try and rotate farming routes to keep the drop quality from going kaputz, but sometimes I wonder if doing PvP, (killing humans) will count towards the "something else" you should do after a few repeated farm runs to keep the drops from going bad.

Will Alliance Battles or any other type of PvP help refresh my farming routes, or should I be doing missions/other farming routes where I'll be killing NPCs?

But wait, which one is better? Doing missions or doing pvp? What I mean about better is quicker and faster way to do it? If we go pvp how many battles do we have to do to reset the code? And for the missions, does doing the mission you've already did counts? Does it reset the code?

The only people that prolly know the most efficient way to do things in the game are the cheesing ebay gold companies. It's sort of their job to know that. But for us legit users it's somewhat of a psuedo-science.

I've mostly done PvP between my farming runs and it seems to work for me. However, I'm not sure if doing a mission is better. For me, at least, PvP is better because at least it's somewhat different each time.

I got it 2 times.
But I notice that first group of Minotaurs drop like crazy, every body drops something from golds to dyes to money, after a while the same sized grup has 3 drops.

PvP seems to count in my experience - I used to solo farm on my necro and when I started getting poor drops I'd go run my farming build in ft aspenwood (spiteful spirit on gunther is hax). After a couple of aspenwood rounds I'd get good drops farming again.

ok, i do alot of farming but i never quite did understand this. This is strickly non-scientific careless observation.

Also to answer the quesion at the start of the thread.
I think PvP is an effective way of keeping the anti farm bug away. A win streak in RA usauly seems to work for me.

It seems to drop exponentially with every run of the same area in a row.

I've also noticed when i have run the same area over and over but only killing one type of critter. Lets say Root Behemoths/Wind Riders in the Falls. If i kill a Scale in my 5th run or so, those drops always seem to be gold and purple, where as the Root Behemoths and Wind Riders drop whites or nothing.

Back when ettin farming was still droping a strangly overly high number of runes. Some people claimed that zoning, (the path taken was bettleturn, Nebo Terrace, North Kryta, Scoundrel) Was enough to keep the anti farming code from apearing. Personaly, i never tested this.

i see no change by simply changing characters or logging in and out. I use to do elona for 20 runs at a time with my ele. I left the game for 6 months and came back. My drops where still only whites and gold until i change my area and did other things then came back. And i did go AFK for hours at a time. So that didn't help as well.

Personaly the only way i get around the anti farming coding is to change what and where i farm every run. With my ranger i usauly rotate around the fallowing. FoW chest runs, Totem Axe Farming with sword build, B/P runs in Tombs and rarely Sorrows. Also on the ocassion i run people.

However i notice running the same area over and over and later farming it, never seems to affect drops for me. So i also believe its about what u kill and not where u are. Also lets say u are partied with another person who over runs the area. I've noticed that if u lets say never have been to that spot before or run it once in a while. I've tended to get the rare drops. Such as i usauly get 2-3 greens in the tombs per run. While most of my allies who do it every 45 minutes get 1 or none. Maybe its luck.
