Advice on a graphics card

Hi team

I am building a new PC and am looking for some helpful advice on which graphics card I should look at purchasing. I am restricted due to financial reasons (wife ) so am looking at possibly the 256 MB GeForce 6600 or the 256 MB GeForce 7300 GS cards (only about $40 NZD difference between the two).

The system will be a P4 3.2 gHz with 1 Gb Ram and 120MB HD.

Any useful advice would be greatly appreciated.

if you can get a 6600GT, it will beat both of those choices hands down, even if it's a 128MB 6600GT. More memory on a slower card does not make it better thatn a faster card with less RAM. Not sure of their availability still, but it's worth looking into.

your system specs are good enough. just the card being the bottleneck. im not sure of the costs, but my friend recently got a 7600 GS and it worked very nicely and was pretty cheap. (i mean for guildwars, other games im nt sure).

most prolly its only slightly more expensive.
