Stalls?

If anyone has every played a game called Silkroad ( silkroadonline.com ) then you will know what i am talking about. When you play Silkroad, you never see wts, wtt, wtb and all that mess. When you walk through towns, people have the ability to set up their own stalls. Where players can go through their inventory and toss it into their stall and put a price on each. People coming through the stall can talk and barter with the mini-merchant and such. Or better yet, you can game all day, then go to sleep and leave your stall open in Ascalon or whatnot.

For a better idea of a stall, download Silkroad and give it a try. It is a free online pve game. I think it is rather effective and probably help balance the economy better.

I think it would be a handy addition to GW?

Thoughts?

Yes you do.

Played it, hated it, uninstalled it.

Not to say it didn't have good concepts though.

personaly i like the idea of one auction house (imagine that an auction house i bet im the first person to ever think of this for guildwars) to have time tables for stuff to sell. like eveery hour rotate through wepons, mats, runes, minis, then have like 5 hours for everything. everyday we could rotate the time scedual so if you needed a bow but worked wierd hours you could still have a shot at buying one.

Or you could just have tabs and flick through types of things on sale instead of waiting for it.

we could do things the simple easy and effective way or we could use my sugestions. ill let anet decided.

i was thinking like a traditional auction house with a stage and a guy who talks fast and one thing up at one time. pretty stupid idea now that i think about it. the nice thing would be everyone who could possibly want to buy your item would get a chance to bid... unless they died of boredem.

so you want some guy to wait hours so that he can buy the rune he wants, or come back tomorrow when he has time, but oh wait, the schedule has changed and he missed the time to buy runes, so he'll log out and wait for the time for the "buy everything" period, but oh wait, the schedule changed again. efficient

yeah, i think we will let anet decide.

An in-game auction house is the best solution, one with built-in filters and restrictions on spamming and posting frequency. And automated transfer of items.

Stalls are not a good idea because it encourages ppl to afk. And rather than a spamming of wtt, wtb, wts, you'll see alot of afk stalls crowding all the towns. Not to mention the lag.

if you dont have the dedication to look at a piece of paper (you dont even have to get up just hit the "l" key to find out when times where) i dont think you deserve that rune. and i already said the the idea was bad or didnt you catch the sarcasm?

i like the idea but i dont think it will fit into GW, id rather stick with the auction house... btw...

Quests in silkroad make you have to kill 50,000 high level monsters ~.~

Anet is not going to put anything in to help increase sales and farming. They have never gone out of there way to support players making money. I dont see anyone putting time into setting up AH or anything else that takes away from the battle. Crap they didnt even do guild storage right.

So we can increase lag? No thanks. GW's system is instanced too so it won't work.

You will end up with lag and trade campers instead of spammers.
