Humdehum...
Let's see, for the Fire build... Currently, Firestorm and Breath of Fire are, well... crap. Not only do they do pitiful damage, they also cause enemies to scatter, meaning that you'll hit less stuff with your... uh... Inferno? With Burning Speed, Inferno AND Double Dragon, this appears to be a wanna-be point-blank Fire build... that's lacking Flame Burst and Pheonix . And has Flare. And appears to have no way of defending itself, apart from making things run out of Firestorm (for which, Lava Font is a far superior skill). Personally, I wouldn't waste my Elite on Double Dragon, point blank or no, for point-blank damage, spammabilty, etc. Starburst is a better Elite... or an energy management Elite. Meh.

The Earth build now...
With Tenai's Crystals (btw, Crystal Wave is the Prophecies equivalent, not Stone Daggers ) and Aftershock, this is almost shaping up for another point-blank build. In which case, Whirlwind/Aftershock is better, what with being cheaper, more spammable, and not racking up Exhaustion. Also for point-blank goodness, it's lacking some key defensive skills... In a PvE PuG, Ward Against Melee is a core skill, as is Armour of Earth (remember, you is a puny spellcaster... ). If you're not trying to be a point-blank earth mage, then drop one (or both) of Aftershock and Tenai's Crystals. And Glyph of Energy (elite) is your friend, for all them Earthquakes (you ARE aware of Exhaustion, right?)

As for the Water build... I must say, it's almost on the right lines. Blurred Vision is a solid anti-A, R, and W spell (though for spellcaster-heavy areas, Armour of Mist would be a better skill... halving damage from spells + running out of AoE > halving damage from the dreaded wand spike). Also, for pure damage, Ice Spear would be better than Vapour Blade - for the same 15 energy, you can pull off 3 x 74 damage Ice Spears. Also, it'd leave you nearer the front lines, and thus more likely to be the target of spells... which is what you want, with Mirror of Ice.

Meh.

ya if u wanna b a fire ele in a group, chances r ur not gonna b up front and personal with a lot of the creatures. ur gonna b on the back line firing off powerful spell and nuking. plus if ur using high cost spells, u need an elite enrgy management, like ele attune or ether prodigy. for soloeing with earth is very effective, u just have to use a lot of the armor enchants(kinetic armor, armor of earth, etc.) + whirlwind and aftershock r a deadly combo for killing warrior or assasin creatures. then just spam stone daggers to keep ur kinetic armor up. water, thoguh very efective, isn't best for pve. i'd go with fire for that. BUT, if ur gonna go with it, bring blurred vision, ice spikes, and i prefer shard storm or even ice spears. and again energy management. with water i like to bring serpent's qucikness, cuz water spell tend to have a long recharge on them. and an air build i've come to like is lightning strike, air attune, serpent's quickness, lightning surge(E), gale, blinding flash, ennervating charge, and blinding flash. this build helps keep a constant knockdown on a foe, while dishing out huge damage, and disableing a target with blind, tho u have to watch ur exhaustion on this one.

You don't want Earthquake & Dragon Stomp together. Both are high-energy spells, cause exhaustion, and have a fairly short recast time (so you don't need two). If you really want to use them back to back, you need better energy management. Plus, casting a 3-second spell point-blank is just asking for an interrupt. Furthermore, if you want to be pbaoe, you need more armor than Sliver Armor and the +24 from Flesh - as well as a heal (for soloing).

It just seems to me that you took all the most potent aoe's and threw them in a skillbar. The only one that's missing is Meteor Storm.

The water build is fairly solid, although I'd question the utility of Ice Mirror (I haven't used it, but it looks interesting). I would say Maelstrom is not optional (one of my favorite spells), Vorpal Blade seems like kind of a waste unless you're bringing an anti-enchant, and Tenai's Prison probably isn't needed because there's enough slows already (substitute Shard Storm for Vorpal Blade & see how many things you can slow down).

I would much rather take an energy gain skill over a elemental elite in most cases.

... I'm not going to say anything about the other builds because they have already said what I think about these builds. All I have to say about Burning Speed is get Nightfall and look at the fire skills for running, then go ohhhh and ahhhhh at what you will find.

Way to keep the members Ensign. Honestly!....

The boy tried, let him know the flaw but you don't (All of you here) need to bash it. We were all new once, remember that.

All of your Elites suck. Get a different fire elite whether is SF, Searing Heat, or Mind Blast. Just not Double Dragon. Earth elite needs to be changed. Unsteady Ground, Sandstorm, or Shockwave. And as far as water, I enjoy, Shatterstone and Icy Shackles. Those are elemental elites, you could always go a No Attribute elite too.

Wow I just started a new thread on this subforum before reading this item..... given the flaming that's going on here I probably won't even read replies.

The Op is putting a perspective build out there and instead of constructive critisism you just flame the guy.

I think this particular part of the forum I won't be visiting regularly....
Neriandal - have to agree with your post - one of the only respectable ones here.

That guy only has Facrions. His builds might not be as good but having only Factions is limited. Also, someone bumped this, this was made in August before Nightfall came out...

I use firestorm coupled with mark of rodgort to target the enemy caster back line and follow that with liquid flame which usually destroys the casters/healers. For defense I use bed of coals coupled with mark of rodgort. This accomplished the double purpose of dealing massive damage to melee attackers and scattering them away from me.
For energy management I use fire attunement and Mind Blast [Elite] which again coupled with mark of rodgort keeps the enemy on fire permanently and yields energy.
I am by far not an expert elementalist but this build seems to work very well for me.

With unconstructive sage advice such as :
"I wanted to point out that this is *easily* the worst fire build ever posted on this forum.

It's made up my mind that I don't want to share any kind of subforum with you.
Even now you defend your response.....

You could have instead been helpful and pointed him to other builds or why the build is bad - instead you make him feel inferior and consequently yourself superior.
yeah - good luck with that.....

How convenient, as I don't have any burning desire to read more posts complaining about how we're not all really nice to each other.

Clearly we're in this forum for different reasons. I'm here because I think there's some value in a class knowledge base, and I enjoy contributing to and bouncing ideas around in it on occasion. The build in the original post, as mentioned, is horrendous. The reasons why it is horrendous I consider obvious, and have been discussed many times over in this very forum.

A certain amount of abrasiveness promotes quality. I might suggest this forum if you'd rather not deal with harsh language or ideas.

There is an entire forum for seeking advice. Anyone with some common sense would read recent threads in a new forum before posting in it.

Anyone who did that, would see actual advice suggesting people avoid builds such as the one the OP posted.
