Where do Katanas drop?

                    Anyone know where max Katanas drop?
I don't think I've ever found a gold Katana anywhere on my journeys through Cantha...

                    i've seen about 2 katanas drop in my whole canthan gaming carrer, well, okay maybe more i just havn't nocied them, but still, good luck finding them and wiki is the best place to look man, so start there as stated above

                    Same here, I've gotten blue and white Katanas, but no gold or purple...same thing goes for the Shinobi blade...

                    Since the Katana is your basic crafter sword, there's really no need to sweat the Gold drops - heck, it's the only sword type you can guarantee a +5 energy mod on (from the endgame crafter).
...However, as mentioned they drop normally pretty much everywhere in Factions. Kaineng City seems to favour them in my experience, especially from Jade Brotherhood and Am Fah

                    They seem to be just as rare as any other "average" skin. I know for certain that they drop in Kurzick areas, as I've had +5 energy and 15^50 ones drop there.

Livingston I think its more to the point that Gold items simply look better when you view their stats... I guess having them makes the player feel better about themselves.
I always start with crafting weapons, and if I found a good replacement gold item for it, then I'll replace it.
