Do we have to purify ourself again? if this carried on by chapter 10 there should be Churches/Temples/Mosques/other PC religous buildings to us...

So what do you think are we gunna ascend again?

How can we else access FoW/Uw?

Look up "ego" in the dictionary, GW caters to that big time. Everyone is ascended, everyone gets closer to the stars, everyone will be a dervish that can become t3h l33t g0dz0r!!1 I predict 10 million dervishes based on peoples egos alone.

It just seems the plot is getting repetive if we have to ascend again, its the same old story of
1.Something evil, go and attack it
2. Find out you carnt beat it
3. Become superpowered in some way
4. kill it
5.run around LA/Droks/Zu-heltzer/KC/cavalon/New big cities shouting "I Iz da L33t3st"

Like what Yanman.be has mention before, the component/concept of "ascension" has become now more of a PvE trap in the story line apart from the 2 other 15 attribute point quest to "complete" your PvE character at level 20 and allow access into UW/FOW so as to speak. Removing this component seems unlikely as all indivdual chapters are marketed as both standalone and addons hence will have similar concepts for balance.

But that doesnt mean that this process cant be presented in a more creative way or even fun perhaps.

I don't understand, ascending just brought you under the gazes of the gods so that they might consider influencing your destiny in your favor (sort of like having a meeting with the big boss to get your main project accepted) where the heck did you get the idea it gave you super powers?

And concerning the Weh no Su well it opened your mind to enable you to see spirits again not that much of a power boost

So sorry but I don't believe we've been turned into gods we just acquired a slightly better sense and are on the gods soap channel

On a related note, and in answer to your question...you can descend. But they don't give you pants. Yeah. So like...you might want to descend near some fig leaves or something.

It would be damn cool if we could get a sort of angelwings for our ascension (just like those enemy's in that trailer)
And that they would be "capelike" so that you can enable or disable them

But yes, some people will just use them to show their 1337ness (angelwinged whammo's anyone ) but alas... i don't think we are going to get them soon (if we get something like that at all)

So many people are going to be Dervishes I can see it already.

Not so much for ego, but when Factions came out everyone rushed to play Assassin even though they aren't all that easy to play WELL. Same with Ritualists, but if you mess up it doesn't aggro 5000 mobs.

It will be interesting to see if Dervishes get the HATE the Assassins did. I however will feel very secure in getting a Group with my P/W.

Exactly! Beyond the plot, the event is really a trigger. So, you could really do anything to break such a trigger. Like rescue a damsel in distress, or get a certain item? Lots of things could be done.
