Hi,
In my opinion Mesmers have a really difficult time with health regeneration. They have a half-way decent skill for evading attacks in casting 'Distortion' and 'Illusion of Weakness' is good for saving your life once. However, after casting Distortion or once Illusion of Weakness is used, you will have a really tough time gaining back any health unless you don't attack for a long period of time...or of course you use a secondary profession's health regen skill which takes attribute points from your Mesmer primaries. For this reason I suggest two new skills that can lessen the damage from attacks and also give back a bit of health as well:
1) Shared Pain (Stance)
Damage from attacks is 'shared equally' between you and foes attacking you for a period of time. So 1/2 of the attackers damage is reflected back to the attacker and the other half is of course passed through to you.
2) Lesson in Humility (Hex Spell)
Target Foe is hexed and has a 25% change of missing with attacks for a period of time. Each time the foe misses with an attack, you gain xx points of health.
This is similar to the 'Spirit of Failure' spell except that instead of gaining energy for a failed attack you gain health instead.
What do you think?

it's a pretty good idea, the shared pain probably to be balanced would be short and not very useable
Numa Pompilius
Sounds good. Mesmers do need both better self-heal and better tankability. These skills would be a good addition to the line.

Shared pain sounds a little powerful. Either it would have be an elite or it would have to truly be SHARED pain, i.e. When you suffer damage, your attacker also suffers x% of the damage. Granted, this thwarts what you were going for with the healing...
Mesmers are very powerful, but are also very squishy. If you feel you need healing on your mesmer, try to round it out with necro or monk skills to keep yourself alive. I use an illusion mesmer with distortion, ether feast and IoW, and it keeps me alive well enough in PvP.
Good thoughts tho, I like the Lesson in Humility one.

Actually I would like a skill that didn't depend on an opponent for healing.
Out of combat the mesmer is prone to die from bleeding/poison unless she has a secondary skill to cure it.
The mesmer has no out of combat healing skills at all (as the only class I think).
Energy Rush

Energy: -, Casting time: 2, Recharge: 30
Easily Interrupted
Lose all energy, you gain 1...4 health for each point of energy lost.
That something I would like

Shared pain would have to be an elite and still not be useable. It takes life barrier for the self and then adds on almost a full holy wrath with no max. Imagine throwing this up when a warrior is spiking, or for that matter when an assassin is spiking.
Lesson in Humility is fine if the amount of health regained is reasonable.

Are you familiar with Ether Feast? It's in the inspiration line.
It's not that bad; 5e for ~150 heal, compared with healing breeze which is 10e for 160-200.
