Lina and Mhenlo must die!

Last night I was doing a farm run in SF, one I've done 60 trillion times, and had the most shocking betrayal I've ever experienced from the hench healers.

I'm running minions with a custom build and mowing the mobs down easily. There's a particular mob that has one Taskmaster, one Priest, and 8-9 Dark Binders. It's an easy mob. I've killed it easily every time, no sweat.

Not this time...

My minions engage the mob and kill two binders quickly. I get one of the corpses, but a binder lays a Well of Suffering on the other. No biggie, the minions are mostly healthy, but a few are somewhat wounded.

I fire off two quick BotMs and the minions are all good. But here's where it all went to hell.....

I'm about half health now....for about 3 seconds with no heal coming from either hench. Odd.

What are those two doing? They're standing next to each other, staring right at me. They are in the middle of the hall, so they can't be stuck and they haven't cast in a while, so they have to have energy....

Oh well. Idiot hench. I'll just do it myself. Heal Area....

POW! Cry of Frustration! (damn)

Suddenly, 6 Binders light up with Vampiric Gaze at exactly the same time and nail me with a Blood Spike!!!

I die. All 10 minions turn red....late in the mission, unlikely to be able to get 10 more with whats left.

Beyond flabbergasted...Speachless. Then I find words. Bad Ones and Lots of Them.

And what does Lina do now? Before my body hits the floor, she's over me casting Ressurect.

So she DID have energy! AH-HA!

Basically, it took 6 Binders, a Taskmaster and BOTH my healer hench working in coordination worthy of a HOH group to get me.

Epilogue:
I did recover...barely...and successfully finished the mission. Lina and Mhenlo, well, lets just say that they serve me in a different way now. Far more loyal...for eternity. They were quite helpful in helping me rebuild an army.

I had the same problem with Alesia yesterday... doing Riverside Province and she would just stand there watching Claude die... then the moment he did run in to Restore Life.

I swear all these updates are screwing up AI. Tyrian henchman are alot worse than normal, Canthan henchman were getting stuck on Vizunah (again), enemies seem to have lost skills too... I have never seen an Armoured Cave Spider use either Called Shot or Savage Shot recently.

methinks you have done something to upset the monk order.

I refuse to heal healer hench. They are nothing but energy sinks.

Stupid stuff like that happens sometimes, but I still say hench monks are about average in comparison to PUG monks. Drives me crazy when people refuse to take them.

Ok the healer henchy thing doesnt peeve me to much. Just probably hit a snag in the AI for a bit. However...

This HAS happened to me on several occasions before. Not just with Vampiric gaze, but I have been happily helping party members when over half the mob decides to hit me with a simular attack all at once.
The player monks in my group never have a chance.

Was the AI improved at some point to throw spiking in? Or do I just have SERIOUS bad luck?

Ever got chain Cry-Of-Frustration-ed-to-death ??

I hate it with henchie monks don't heal you when you're low on health. I seen Lina and Mhenlo do that to me before! That is why i always bring in real monks to heal me!

I always love when you get killed and the healers run up to you and then get plummeted and start spam healing each other till they both die

Why can't monks use rebirth from a distance ?????????????????????????????

cuz their AI don't understand the word "distance"

Mhenlo's a secret smiter (lol); as for Lina, I can work with her when I bring my monk, but if I bring my warrior, and I have Lina and Alesia----well, let's say I wonder about those two....

Sorry, the best is when you go skill crapping in Perdition Rock and the Hydras are dropping a couple MS on you, so you move. But Mhenlo and Lina just get knocked down, stand up, try to cast a heal, get knocked down, stand up, try to cast a heal, get knocked down, stand up, try to cast a heal, die.

i hate when the healer henchmen heal you after the fight and ressurect you during the fighting while like few level 20's are around them..and they dont heal you during the fight.

In the radio interview with Jeff Strain, he mentioned how they are focusing on NPC henchmen.. that being said, he indicated that they will focus on the Factions (and future chapters) but don't have the resources to re-tweak GW's henchmen (due to the map balancing required).

The spike thing happened to me. It was with a blood magic spell.. possible vampiric gaze.. Maybe the enemies are learning team builds

Well, you can just kill them (as often as you want, in fact) by taking them in any RoF mission. It's funny just how stupid they are when your neck isn't actually on the line.

AI is Ai, they suck now and then, then every once in a while they turn out to be pretty good. (Female polygons should not die :P)

I was out getting something from a collector in around Beelteton.I wanted to check it out and I did have 4 of the 6 henchies when I set up for 55 at Droks.I never noticed this before untill I got out the gate and said oh well.The ones I had were Stefan,Orion and Alesia and we all went and took on the Trolls,Avicara Tengu,Tundra Giants and It got worse when we tried to take on the Ice Imps.Those 3 were able enough to take on the whole Trolls and I was surprised how they performed.I much prefer Alesia over Mhenlo I don't know why as they both have the same skill bar and i have told some ppl in game about this and they agreed with me.
I found Mhenlo better in Factions even better than Danika i still don't know why but I do.It says that Mhenlo know smiting prayers maybe he would rather do that?He heals better in Cantha though.
