Factions
Ern
Ok, so I installed Guild Wars again after a good 6 months of a break and I really miss it and want to start playing again. I picked up Factions, installed it and was like ummm ok. I must be a retarded or something becuase I dont see anything different other than the fact that I can use a ship to get to what looks like a pvp area.
Tell me theres more land or something somewhere. 50 bucks for this? argh!

Based on what you said I think you may be missing something.
You can take any Prophecies characters to Cantha by way of Lion's Arch.
To start in Cantha, you need to create a new character. It will then ask you if you a Factions or Prophecies character. Choose Factions and there you go.
I hope that answers your question.

To get a Tyrian to Cantha, talk to Firstwatch Sergio in Lion's Arch. He should have a new quest which requires you to talk to Mhenlo outside that town.
It's a slightly facrcical quest, putting you up against a couple of Level 20+ Afflicted mobs, but after that: Welcome to Cantha

OK, I think this needs splitting up into something that can be understood:
He re-installed Prophecies (The first game).
Then he bought Factions and installed that.
I presume he added the Factions key to his account.
Then he logs in and goes on an existing (Tyrian) character with access to Lion's Arch and finds no obvious way to Cantha (Like I said, see Firstwatch Sergio)

Makes little sense and only serves to confuse Ern further... And to be honest, where's the benefit of installing one game and adding the key for a different one. Don't tell me that it'll be streamed because he has the discs, making the download a waste of bandwidth.

i was just saying what i did when i linked my games, i dled it then put the other acces key in and it worked perfectly, i got the discs and the key in my factions box, i dont understand you, apparently u dont understand me so lets just shutup

But where's the sense in downloading gigabytes of data when you have the discs? It makes no sense.
If you still don't get it, ask me in a new thread. OR better yet, PM me if the feature's available...

I JUST HAD A VERY NASTY THOUGHT THAT NOBODY ELSE HAS THOUGHT OF.
did you choose to MERGE your existing GW account with Factions or did you install it as a NEW (CREATE ACCOUNT) ACCOUNT with a different email and password?
EDIT
do you have 6 (merged) character slots or 4 (unmerged) character slots on the login screen?
