Have you ever had a rare item fall just inches away from you then you died before you

Hahahaha, who actually believes those people who say "oh dont worry, ill give it back". You must be a pathetic fool if you do. I would just lay there and let no one get it. Its a lose lose situation.

It's not quite losing a gold item to death, but it's close.

I was in a tombs run, on the courtyard level, and we were fighting the last group of popups (that don't count toward clearing the level so you're fighting them as the timer runs down). One of them drops a gold axe for me with about 6 seconds left. I tried to make a run for it, but with all the pets and minions in the way, I didn't have a chance.

I had a gold req 8 Ironwing bow drop in the Deep, near the beginning where people are in teams of 4. The bow had dropped in a room I wasn't in, so I politely asked if someone could pick it up for me. They did, and gave it back to me.

So it's not a lose lose situation. Perhaps you've just never encountered anyone who isn't blinded by their own greed.

I was in a Raisu chest run and a req 8 GPB dropped for me. I couldnt get it and died. At this time, everyone else had left and it was just me and another warrior. He waited there until he could pick it up, then he died and IDed it when we rezed. I was begging for it but he wouldnt give it to me. Then he said "LOL OMG" . Im confused by this point. He moves far away from me and drops a "Sundering Gold Pheonix Blade of Fortitude"...needless to say it was 15>50, 20/20, health+30. By this time I was really begging for it but he kept dropping it and picking it back up before I got it. Then I remembered I had Dash with me! He was getting more confident so he dropped it and moved back then ran forward with sprint and got it before I could. He did it and I decided to use dash that time. Got my sword and he got really mad, cussed me out, ignored me, left, and logged off....good times. Serves him right though :-). So, in the end I got my sword, he got his...nothing? The End :-)

he got point on the wisdom title track and a feeling that he's stupid of course :P
but, quite nice that you did get it back.

reminds me of a FOW chest run where a req 10 rare sghadow blade dropped but the whole party died exept for 1 member [the others stood in meteor showers opening the chest, including me couldn't even open it tough ^^]
so that guy just couldn't res he used his res sig already and he just waited to pick it up :/
he never gave it back tough :/ (my main reason why i like guild chest runs way better)
