The prefix and suffix mods (ie Sword hilts and sword pommels, Axe hafts and axe grips etc..) have almost nothing to do with the value of an item. They make an item more attractive, but don't sway the value so much.
The money you pay is 95% for the base item only. (skin, req, dmg range and dmg modifier)
