I hate how they put in these updates while Im sleeping, and then have to watch people show them off on the forum while I have to work all day. By the time I get home Jade Swords and Guardian of the Hunt shields will be overfarmed and less then 10k.

Well, no need to worry so much about overfarming / price dropping since they are not green items and therefore finding one of the new skins with perfect stats isn't That easy. 
Hopefully they all are at least semi-rare what comes to the drop rates.

i've not seen it in game yet, busy at work, but it looks like a longer/thinner/jade colored version of the basic ugly sword skin from the screenshots so far

I don't think we'll get amber sword just because there's a jade sword now.

Has anyone found a Lotus Staff as dropped by an enemy, or are they currently collector-only items?

considering drops have been reported from forbidden chests, luxon chests, phantom chests, obsidian chests and kurzick chests, i wonder if anything would come out of a canthan chest? might be something to look into...

We'll I'll be! Thats the shield I drew. Funny, I didn't even like it, totally thought my swords I submitted would get a better chance. Anet artists did a superb job making it look better though!!
