+15 -1 death wand?
vabus
is it a good idea for an mm to use a wand thats +15 energy -1 regeneration and if so is there a green or collector weapon with the same mod out there? and ur opinion on +1 death magic on the offhand, is it a good way to go or should i go for the 20% half cast and recharge?

Well, personally I never use my +15/-1 items unless I'm in a serious energy crunch. I have my main weapon on slot 1 and if I absolutely need an energy boost I switch to slot 2 where my +15/-1 item is. You should have at least 8 or 9 in soul reaping which in most cases should be pretty good for maintaining your energy supply.

Ive got my +15/-1 mostly for Aspenwood and Alliance Battle's, where there is so much soul reaping, not having +15 mean you'll most likely be wasting energy all the time.

Those items are ony recommended for soul reaping and inspiration users. The slower recharge can make quite a difference.

I use the +15 energy -1 wand and the +engy and +hp -1 focus item.
I have noticed a slower regen and that does cause issues, so maybe I should change. But since ive a stupid amount of energy anyway for a necro at about 60 or 70, I dont always notice.
The green with the same stats as the +15 -1, will probably be a wayward wand from the divine path.

For being a MM I like +15 -1 items. Usually stuff is dying soo much that you have too much energy to spare at max. The -2 pips don't mean much when everything is dying with a lot of soul reaping.

Im actually using a green necro wand with the +15 -1 stats.
I dunno wether the wayward wand in divine path has those stats, it might do, but my green im using is called...
[edit - i found the name]
....Something like... "Bazzr's Wail" I think!!!

Its fairly common actually. Ive had it drop 2 or 3 times I think.
You get it from the Kurzack forest, in that section where ALL the bosses are and the lakes.
Im at work, and guildwiki.net refuses to work, which is why I cant remember the name or the locaion.

OP: You should keep both weapons, if you run out of energy with your 4 energy pip regen set, then switch to your other set. Once you have done your casting, switch back to your 4 energy pip regen set so it recharges back better.
This is what you should do if you want the most optimal energy regen whilst making use of your +15 energy -1 energy regen weapon.

regen > max energy
although swaping the +15 -1 sets is a very good idea in desperate situations.

What I've found is that there is a huge (HUGE) boost to switch to a high energy set as soon as you hit 10 minions.
Right at that point, the returns from SR absolutely dwarf the lost pip of regen. You can pretty much keep the high-e set active always and always have max energy. If a few minions die in a hard battle, switch back until you get to 10 again.

hmm, sounds like im going to have to try that out... i can see where youre coming from though, with 10 minions youre not spending the full 15-25 energy depending on your SR.
