Is it possible to get Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer without any of the arenas you no longer have access to? I'm at 97.7%, and I did a difference compare in Photoshop. The only parts I'm missing are a few edges of the map that don't want to reveal themselves no matter how much I walk into walls, and all of the PvP arenas.

Have you tried just doing some arena matches to reveal them all? All of the arena areas are visible on my map, though my character was around when most of those arenas were still attached to towns.

Carth, the PvP areas do count towards the Cartographer title, but they are not neccesary. And, sadly, they can not be accessed anymore currently, as the PvP areas have been completely seperated from the PvE game.

You don't need the arenas for 100% - there's wiggle room.
As for scraping the walls, sometimes you have to stand still for a sec. or two or scrape back and forth along the walls. Keep going, the last few 1/10%s are a pain, but it's a great relief when you finally get it.

Frustrating because the arenas are by far the largest part I'm missing. Couldn't they open them up for exploration, but have nothing there?

Just wondering, but how do you use PS to compare your maps? I'm at 95.2% atm.

You dont need the arena's for 100%, i dont have any of the arena's including the low level ones, and I have clocked 100% on my warrior. I think it does make it a little more difficult, the last 2% took me about 8 days to complete.
