Ascending in Factions and the benefit

In researching how to obtain 15k armor....I keep coming across the phrase "ascended" as if this might be a requirement, however when I research the definition of "ascended" and how to achieve that, all I can find are answers having to do with the Prophecies campaign.
Any help would be great.

You're classified as being "ascended," after you complete Nahpui. 15k armor requires nothing more than the gold and craft mats, but you will be ascended by the time you reach any of the 15k crafters.

Do Nahpui Quarter in Cantha, it's the Factions equivalent to being ascended.

Kamikaze; if he's in Cantha he technically does have to ascend first, since you can't move on in the game unless you do missions/quests :/

Hmmm, well I have not seen that location on my map yet, however, I am already so far into the game that I am "befriending" the factions. I've defeated Shiro. When will I come across this location???

Which location? Nahpui Quarter? You have to have done it, you can't get further without doing it. It's the mission where you fight the 4 creatures made of stars. The 15k armour locations are Leviathan Pits and vasburg Armoury, again, you have have been to one if you have beaten the game, as you are dumped in one of the depending on what Faction you sided with.

Complete Eternal Grove, you are dumped in Vasburg Armoury, complete Gyala Hatchery, you are dumped in Leviathan Pits. They have the Luxon/Kurzick 15k armour. Once you have defeated Shiro, that final area, Divine Path, has the 15k Canthan armour crafter if you explore a little bit.

Weh No Su is the Canthan Equivalent to Ascension.

It's possible to run a player through most of the mainland, including past Nahpui, as long as the runner has done all the missions. The portals that would usually be closed at that stage are open for the runner. >.>

The locations with 15k armor in factions are the Vasburg Armory (Kurzick), Leviathan Pits(Luxon), and the Divine path (imperial, exotic, canthan).


If you're befriending the factions, I'd say that's not that far into the game. In that one mission where you defeated the aspect bosses and Shiro disappeared, you didn't actually defeat Shiro. You'll do that in the Imperal Sanctum(final mission). Anyway, after you finish your befriending, you can gain access to the eternal grove/gyala hatchery. After completing those missions you'll be taken to the 15k armor places. You'll have to beat the final mission to get to the Divine path though.

actually you can get to leviathan pits without befriending the luxons (or vice versa on kurz side). simply go from harvest temple through the explorable area, to unwaking waters and make your way backwards. just thought i'd mention
