I have some questions about pre-searing items.

What are the best runes you can get? (Minor, Major, Superior?)
What dyes are available?
What is the best weapon for a warrior? (Highest damage for sword, axe and hammer?)

I don't think you can get any runes in pre-searing, since there are no expert or superior salvage kits available and with a regular kit you won't be able to salvage them out, if they drop at all.

All dyes can drop everywhere randomly as far as I know, so your chances to find one pre-searing are equal to finding them elsewhere. Be aware that there is no dye trader in pre-searing, so dye prices range from very cheap to very expensive.

Not sure about this one, but the Rinblade you can craft in Ascalon is probably a decent sword. It's 10-14 dmg. But who knows, north of the wall hunting charr you may come across something more special.

1. Minor and Major ones are dropped by Charr in the North Lands area behind the wall.

2. You can find dyes of any colour, even Black! And they seem to drop fairly often in Pre-searing.

3. Not sure, but you can find Blue and Purple items. The Weapons crafter in Ascalon City makes good weapons. But the Charr in the North Lands drop the highest weapons you can get in Pre-searing.

I've seen up to 11-17 on a bow, and 10-14 on a sword in pre-sear.

not sure about the runes, but I guess that RTSfirebat is right...

dyes are dropped in all colors....lots of ppl have a high lvl pre seering character to farm black dyes in the catacombs, don't know for sure if black dyes get dropped more than after the seering tho...

the weapon question is a hard one...there are ppl claiming to have near max weapons ( I've even heard of an 6 - 24 axe...) , but that could all be lies...
also, there once was a bug, wich allowed players to ''teleport'' their weapons to pre seering, tho I don't know if this is true either, I've heard of it
and sometimes there are threads in the high end forum about high dmg pre seering weapons, or in buy...you should check them out ( use search )

I think dyes just seem to drop more because you're actually soloing.

When I solo farm the 'real' game I get a lot of dyes as well, it's just when you're in a group of 8 you don't often see dyes.

I agree with this statement. I have soloed most of Tyria and I get heaps of dye.

With all due respect, why did you post at all if the questions have already been answered and you aren't even sure of your own info? :P

Yes, there was a glitch a while back where pre-sear characters could teleport to their guildhall, where guildmates could trade post-searing items to them. Thats the only way you'll see superior salvage kits, weapon mods, gold/green items, etc. in pre-sear.

Clarification: Armor with minor and major runes on them will drop occassionally when you're north of the wall, but there are no expert/superior salvage kits available in presear so you can't actually extract the rune until you sear.

See the post above me for the reason why a few runes may still be floating around in presear.

I wish I got a Black Dye while in Pre-Searing.

I got my first 3 black dyes in my first month playing...in pre-searing. Yeah, back then I thought that was the whole game so I had no plans to "leave" (I thought that was some kind of boss battle then, poof, im done). So, then I learned the truth. But, until then< i was level 12, had about 25k, and had dozens of dyes, including 3 black ones.
