Elder to Dire

Is it possible to get an Elder pet (lvl 15 already) then train it to be Dire?

Probably not.. but doesn't hurt to ask. Search revealed nothing. I've been trying to get a Dire for the last half hour outside the quarry and they are all Elder.

No. once a pet has reached a evolution like Dire, Elder or Hearty, it can not change.

That's what I told my friend, apparently the white tiger he had was being tired of having to do all the work and retired into an Elder, but once he had it to Dire it made a switch to Elder. This may have just been a buggy/glitchy issue, but I just thought I'd post it.

You don't have more information? I suppose the Beastmastery guru's (like Epinephrine and Jenosavel) would be interested.

Guess I'll try to train the Elder I got to Dire for the next 5 levels.
If that doesn't work I'll start from a level 5. Wanted to skip most of the training, oh well.

Note: repeatedly running out of the quarry just to see what pet spawned, all were Elder. Maybe no more Dire spawn there? I swear I saw one not long ago.

Gave it a shot, he gained two levels and no change from Elder. Decided to stop wasting time and got a lvl 5. Just going to take a while to train him.

Tried loooking for another dire outside of the quarry, none. Looks like they no longer spawn or I'm incredibly Unlucky.
