How do you charm a bear in pre-searing?

They keep using spell break. Got any advice?

Maybe fast casting maxed out as much as possible (which would require you to be Me/R anyways)? Not sure I always heard that you can't get a bear.

I've heard you can get someone else to bodyblock it in a narrow space. Not sure.
And Fast Casting only works on spells

What new search engine? I already tried doing a search for this. I know there's got to be a topic about it, but I couldn't find anything...

I always though this was impossible. I wanted a bear so I got mine form lornars pass. Its not to far into post searing so you wont miss your bear for too long. You might need help from a lvl 20 and a skill to prevent knockdowns on you though.

about 2 pages back from here theres like 2 posts, I remember reading stuff like this about a week ago.

You basically need somebody (preferably a mesmer) to agro the bear and drag it away from you as you begin casting. Then to either keep its agro, or Imagined Burden it so it cant get back i nrange to cast that skill.

the search thing is kind of faulty, the one before this was better for me...
as I am aware, bears can't be charmed AT ALL in presearing, since a update way back in time. Doesn't mean that people who charmed one before the update will loose theirs[still in pre or not], but when ever someone says you can't, another person says they have one blah blah bs....
besides that, bears have the lowest attack speed and no advantage to offset this compaired to the other pets, why would you want one?<.<

A bit off topic, but the bear is the weakest of all animals having the slowest attack rate. There is little point of trying to capture one, but feel free to do so anyways if you want.

owell, it is possible to charm a bear ^^

you need a warrior partner ...
start charming one, he will maybe hit once, then start to rise up to cancel your charm.
Thats when the Warr must use Hammer Bash to knock him down and to cancel his charm ... needs very good timing tho ... gl ..

a way to charm a bear is to acutally get a friend to come. the person charming the bear should have the bear just outsidethe white "aggroing" circle. Your friend have already pulled the bear over and when the bear uses brutal maulinghe runs the oppisite way from you.. you use charm animal he runs the oppisite way from you. it might take a couple trys but it works. have fun
