Thank you for showing us the light of UW soloing.
Easily made 7k in 2 hrs, not counting the 3 ecto drops i got.
To anyone that was having problems with the last group of grasps behind the aataxe on stairs; Once you get to the safe spot, go over to the wall on left side of stairs, throw on visage and IoH, aggro and run back to safe spot. Happened to me several times but this way worked out.
I still am unable to kill the Coldfires.

Yea this build is truely amazing .. Hardest part of the run is getting them Grasping to die.. But when you get to the smiters then you can pull it off really easy.. Highest number of smiters i killed in one time was 13 =x And its like easyer than it is to just tank em with a 55 monk >_<
EDIT: Btw i use Channeling instead of Vengeful weapon.. I dont find the small dmg better than the Energy gain you can get from Channeling

But energy management is not a problem, and vengeful is great for running from the labrynth > ice wastes.

Hi, well i started doing solo farm with my rt some days ago and was able to solo at many places :
* Vermin farm ;
* Warden farm;
* Solo at Nahpui Quarter;
* Trolls at Droknars;
* Avicaras outside Droknars;
* Thundra giants;
* UW as above in this thread;
* Graws;
* Ettins on cantha;
* Kirins and Overgrowth outside Maatu keep;
I'm still searching for another places to farm solo with her.

For coldfires run in and agro, i dont recommend more than 3 at once and uh dont throw up physical resistance ><, let them use up their maelstroms and move (usually slowly) backwards out of them ... then echo + khanhei whilst spamming vengeful weapon. when 3 khanhei's are up spam vengeful weapon and soothing memories until khanhei is recharged ...repeate until dead (remember to tab through them to see when they are casting maelstrom, then move out of its way :P)

If u see my skill bar ull note i use channeling instead shooting memories, thats why it was hard to kill then without shooting, still i was almost there.

got to the last part of the smite run then planned on killing one cold patrol... well then of course another patrol came out of nowhere and i had 6 on me. wasnt pretty after that >.<

Honestly, i dont find energy a problem. Of course, though, im using the +energy armor.
PR before i get to them, aggro, then visage, echo, and Vwk. Really havent used vengful weapon at all though, except to take out the drkness when they pop up.

I switched soothing to Generous was Tsungrai and it works perfectly...i can clear out uw of coldfires without problem

Were you just aggroing the mesmers, or have you tried triggering them with a longbow and then moving back? Usually ranged casters won't do anything if they're beyond spell range, as their wand range is oddly long.
If that works, they shouldn't use interrupts at all.

Hmm.. Gotta try that.. I just ran in and Body aggroed em.. If it do work it could be alot better becouse it aint really easy with interupts and E surges that drain energy x.x..
Edit: It seems that they move into spellcast range, even tho they was at higher ground than me.. Also even if it works it would be impossible to get past the Dyders and Dream riders anyway..

Ow ! and was a good nite: 6 ectos and 6 gold itens, including a gold fellblade with +30h mod ^^.

It can pretty much tank infinet number.. The problem is Aggroing them.. becouse You can only tank em for 30 sec, means you pretty much need to Cast A echo, Aggro in 20 sec and then cast VwK.. If you cast arcane echo after aggroing 10+ smiters, then there is a great chance they will rape you before you cast Echo + VwK..

... I just tried 3 times.. First time was ok, spawns were where they should be, only I had a bit of bad luck at the second group when I pressed the wrong button.. Anyway, the 2 other tries: first -> 2 bullthingies behind the door, instantly aggroing me when the door opens, running fails because the bullthingy on the stairs aggros as well... Second -> the 2nd group of graspings spawned in the back, patrolling between the position where the first group was, and the position where the third group is.. Aggroing them to come to the startingarea fails because once they reach the stairs, they return..
Am I just having bad luck, or did they nerf this farm? :/

Also, the graspings keep interrupting me even if i let visage work its magic for 4-5 seconds.. The minute I start casting Arcane Echo -> interrupts.. With a bit of bad luck, they even interrupt my Vengeful was thing -_-

Are you sure you cast AV/SV on yourself not the guy you took quest from?
Typically, I don't have problem with graspings at all if the aggro went ok. Every now and then I made mistake casting AV/SV on the ghost or nightmare strips Illusion of Haste and SV.

This is indeed the best Solo UW build i have ever used..
18 Smiters Soloed in 30 sec from i start dmging em..
So far i havent herd any1 do that better solo.. Only other char i can imagen take that many at 1 time is a Spirit bond Monk, But i dont think he can kill em in 30 sec.. o.o
And to the ones wondering if i died then:

Kinda hard to believe the nightmares are the ones raping you. Unless they rend echantments while your echo is up,screwing your 3vwk. I have never had problem with nightmares poping while i take the quest. What could be happening is your aggroing aatxe by mistake. Just wait for that one patrol to move all the way to the left side.
Have to aggre this is the best source of imcome. SHHH. Dont tell anyone else.

remember this the first skill grasping use is ALWAYS distrcting blow.
even if u let visage for 4~5 secs, one grasping tht reaches u at the 6th seconds will still able to distracting blow you. My advice: wait for EVERY graspings you've aggroed hit the first strike b4 casting arcane echo.

Thats not always true. When I'm doing my 3 man forgemaster thing <--(yay free advert), and we're clearing the spider cave, the spiders will often use healing spring even with the Spirit Bond monk standing adjacent to them AND hacking at them with the totem axe. Which isn't the case for warrior solo of the cave. I think there's more maths than just enemy distances for whether enemies use traps.

i am noticing a definite decline in ecto drops the more i do this run. first completed run i got 3 ecto, 2nd run i got 1 and same on the third. all other runs i have completed after these 3 have yielded Absolutley no ecto......hmmmm....anyone else noticing this or am i just in a ecto slump?

Luck of the draw i guess ..i get 2 ecto a run on average, That said i only do it around once every couple of days

Yep, my ecto drops are fine. I get about 2-3 a run, but i only do this on weekends.

If anyone have a problem with coldfires, replace shooting Memories with Elemental Resistance its much easyer.

With Some practise Coldfires should get fairly easy... I kill groups of 2 with just VwK, Aecho, Vengeful weapon.. Groups of 3 is a little harder cus i dont use Soothing Memorys.. But 2 coldfires go down easy with the above 3 skills + WASD out of malestorm..

Hmm, working quite well now, but still having problems taking the last group of graspings if one is stuck behind an aaxte at the bottom end of the stairs.. if I haste paste the 2 static aaxtes, the aaxte blocking the grasping charges at me and he keeps following since haste has stopped and there isn't enough room for me to run (to the gate)..
Anyone have an idea hwo to take that last grasping?

You should be safe by the doors and still have enough room to kite away from the Aatxe on the step (the one usually blocking the last grasping) if you agro by walking into range instead of wanding (since this gives you more distance to run back to the door).
