When Nightfall come out, will you erase your Assassin and/or Ritualist
Francis Demeules
When Nightfall come out, will you erase your Assassin and/or Ritualist for a Paragon and/or Dervish?
I ask this question because I asked some players in game they will erase these characters because they "Suck in stats if we compare these 2 new professions". Its not a complain thread or something like that. It just to know if everyone of you will erase your Faction Chars for the new professions.
Me, I keep my Ritualist. I used my assassin for PvP only so I dont really worry about him.
So, you guys and ladies, will you keep your Factions chars?

I'll be keeping my assassin and taking him through Nightfall
Free Runner
I'll be keeping my Rit and Assassin. Much more fun to think up builds to hurt the Paragon and Dervish than delete
Also it will be fun to take them into Elona and see how they do against the enemys there aswell as try some Rt/P or A/D combos.

I will keep them, I may not play them any more but I am keeping them.
black_mamba
Definetly keeping my rit and sin, might even go A/P and spam paragon addrenaline based skills
VitisVinifera
why would you? you are getting 2 new slots in nightfall
Quid Pro Quo
If I make one first then maybe.
Paperfly
Of course I won't delete them. Unlike some more optimistic types, I made my 'sin and my Rit under the understanding that Factions skills and gear (not counting stuff for their secondaries, obviously) would be all they'd ever have access to, and that they'd always only serve in niche roles.
I like playing niche roles.

Why should I? My account has 9 slots now and Nightfall gives two more.

The new Proffesions are not my type

I can already think of multiple ways of hurting Dervish with Ritualists.
And altho I dont use my assassin much anymore, I like her dance too much to delete. lol

Bah...my Rit got fow already, i simply cannot think to delete it (its the only fow armor i mannaged to build so far ^^).
And for my sin, his 15k is pretty and i like the challenge of playing PVE whith him
So NO, i am not delleting any of them
Later.

lol, although i can understand that you're curious, when you add your nightfall account to your factions/prophecies account, you get 2 extra character slots, so there is no need to delete them.
What I do find stupid/smart from anet, is that they didnt include enough character slots to be able to make 1 character for every first profession, so if you do wanna do that, you gotta pay up. ah well, it still beats paying monthly for cartoony like wow.

I will not delete either of them. Just because this next chapter does not have anything new for them, in the future there maybe new content added, we just don't know about that at this time.

Probably keep my Assassin, still has some use.
LiamR
I already deleted my assassin, because
A] He couldnt get a team in senjis.
B] His hairstyle/face looked crap.
C] Too weak and fragile.

Assassins arn't weak if you have a proper build
Melon
Assassins are no profession for pve, it's basically a caster leroying into imbalanced mobs who hit him for 60+dmg on normal attacks. Anyone should understand anyone whom delete their pve assassin.
unholy guardian
I probably won't delete mine, but i doubt i'll use it a whole lot.
Tonev
I'll probably give my Ritualist and Necromancer to my son's and have them play them (unless they want new characters) in which I'll probably delete them in order to save on slots.
I'm pretty much getting the hang of the game again after a long abscence (just got factions and don't like any of the new professions).

Allready deleted the Sin, for the PvP preview wekkend , but defenitly keping the Rit
Rex the Unloving
*bleep* no!
Horseman Of War
no, i am dedicated to unlocking all skills and having one primary of each profession... granted at times, it may be easier to roll a pvp toon instead... but a pvp toon is fashion police emergency.
My assassin makes me a lot of money, running ppl to beacons perch.
My ritualist owns.

personally, my sin kills better then any dervsih can (assuming proper nerfs are plzed), and event hough I dont have a rit, the rit is completly differnet idea then
either of the new professions, and due to the different role, it I will still comsider it a "useful" profession.

why would anyone delete any charactor your gonna get 2 new slots with nightfalls.
unmatchedfury
my rit stays. a Ritlord/prot+ shadowsong/dissonace rit is a good addtion to any party. he can deal 58 dps/disrupt blind while protecting the whole party from harm/

Assassins are Harder to play Pve Wise but a good one is definately a good addition
ShadowStorm
I don't have a Rit, but I'll be keeping my Assassin and changing her secondary to Dervish because I can't find any secondary for her that currently exists that I like. If I test out the 2 new secondaries and don't like them, I'll probably delete my Assassin. Currently I have my Assassin using Mesmer secondary for Distortion and Illusion of Weakness, but I hope to find some better Dervish skills to replace those. Faithful Intervention looked like a good replacement for Illusion of Weakness, so I'm hopeful.

Deleted my sin a long time ago...
My rit is one of my favorite characters to play. I have every intention of playing him through Nightfall and beyond.
But as others have said, why delete at the very moment you get two new slots?

I played through factions with my Assassin, deleted him because I didn't use him for anything else, tried a rit, didn't like him and deleted him. Right now I just have a Necro, Warrior, Ranger, and Monk with two open slots that I use for PvP and I'm going to just create a Paragon without deleting anything.

Sins arent bad. You just have to know how to work them. The other professions are just easier right out of the gate. After I got the hang of shadowstepping, the sin was one of my faves to play. He won't be going away any time soon.
Rit is probably my favorite profession to play. I doubt that will change with Nightfall, regardless of Anets choice to not give them new stuff.

hmm, let me anwser the quistion, i never liked a assasin so much, i think those combo's are enoying, but... on the other hand you have te lurn to work with them, a ritualist is what i like though, and when the pvp test came out... i thought a dervish was pretty cool and usefull, and... i still have one slot free :P but i cant work with an assasin, although there pretty enoying sometimes in pvp, and then i'm pretty impressed about what they can do, but like i said i think a dervish is more my style
natuxatu
I LOVE my Ritualist.. no way am i deleting it.. he will be my main char that i'll be playing in Nightfall also ...
Sable Phoenix
I don't have an Assassin now. I tried it, didn't like it, made a Necro instead, much better. I'm keeping my Rit. The two new slots are going to the two new classes.
Silabus The Rebirth
I heard of only one additional character slot unless you get one early if you preorder. Check Link:

To people who are asking, "Why would you delete, you get two new ones come Nightfall," it's because some people prefer the Prophecies professions.
Actually, I already deleted my rit and 'sin; make an ele and war instead. Come the 3 new slots (assuming I get the prerelease) I'll make a paragon, a dervish, and a mes. That'll let me have one of every core and nightfall profession, and a pvp slot.
