Been playing aspenwood this weekend and got bored playing as a bond monk, so wanted to try and make a smite monk. It's not a great build, but was tons of fun. Anyway, thought I'd share this build. Criticism and comments welcomed.

Purpose of this build is to take out the turtle and the warriors. This build will get ripped apart if it faces any characters with enchantment removal/degen, so target only melee.

Mo/E
Healing 4 (3 + 1 minor)
Smite 13/16 (3 + 1 minor)
Divine 13/16 (3 + 1 minor)

Hats
Divine + 4
Smite + 4

Weapons
+5 e Sword /w 20% Enchantment
Hallowed Idol 20/20
Hallowed Idol +5 AL/+45 HP when Enchanted

Skills
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Balthazar's Aura
Symbol of Wrath
Kirin's Wrath
Shield of Judgement
Healing Touch
Signet of Devotion
Blessed Aura

Strat.
1. When you load, switch to Divine Hat and Cast Blessed Aura. Switch back to Smite Hat.
2. Before engaging turtle, cast Shielf of Judgement, and run up to the turtle to aggro warriors.
3. Healing Touch/Signet of Devotion for healing if you get rocked at the start.
4. Glyph of Lesser Energy + Balthazar's Aura.
5. If health permits, quickly throw up symbol of wrath and kirin's wrath as soon as possible.
6. For some odd reason, luxon warriors will not run away from you and should die fairly quickly.
7. Rinse and repeat until turtle is dead.

On defense:
Use shield of judgement/Balth aura on any friendly. Blessed Aura is very helpful and should give you an extra 40% enchantment time.

During recharge time, kite as much as possible.

Hope this build works for you and have fun!

I wouldn't use AoE skills that require you to be right next to the enemy. Your only damage skills require the enemy to be right next to you. With only 60 armor you do not want to through yourself into harms way(a.k.a right next to the enemy).

An interesting thing you could try is haveing a pet and put balthazars aura on the pet. Have the pet attack a target. And bring serpents quickness to recharge balthazars aura faster. This would keep you out of combat and safe. Your attributes would be wilderness survival , healing, and smiteing.

Another thing you can try is to use echo{elite}, and archane echo with banish and then constantly spam it on someone. Banish has a 10 second recaste time but if you have 3 of them you can cast it alot more.

However, I personally do not think smiteing is useful for PvP or PvE.

yeh, but he has SoJ, which means warrs gets KD'ed every tiem they attack... good strate, but luxon turtles can shoot high dmg... even 1 hit and some random hits from some other warrs, u'd probably also be toast...

but then again, when are fort organised to counter that?!

good build

and yes, vs ench strippers, you are toast...

Thanks for the tips! I'll go try the Mo/R idea, it's probably better as I could toss in a Run as One to run amber when the Turtle's not around.

So I take it that Smiting and Useful rarly go together. Anyway, much appreciation for the tips dudes!
