Armor and Preperation Bonus

This is gonna sound really stupid, mainly because I've been playing since Prophecies came out.

Anyway, the armor that give you a plus for preparations, is that bonus good only while doing the prep, 2secs? Or is it good for the duration of the preperation?

traps are not considered preps right? anyone know a good reason why they aren't?

The armor bonus is good for the duration of the prep. You are correct that traps are not preperations. Perparations add modifiers to the damage of your primary weapon, unlike traps, which are stand-alone damage dealing skills (like an AoE spell).
